Scouting report

CLE RB Kareem Hunt - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. New York Jets

Kareem Hunt was already limited in the running game and now with Cleveland’s newfound love for the pass with Joe Flacco, his ceiling has dropped even lower. He has seen just seven rushing attempts in each of the last two games and is averaging just 1.3 yards per carry in that time. Hunt isn’t winning any championships this week for fantasy owners. Keep him on the bench.

CLE RB Kareem Hunt - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Houston Texans

The Browns struggled to run the football and Kareem Hunt really struggled in Week 15. Eight yards on seven rushing attempts for Hunt against the Bears. He did as 12-yard catch but he now has single-digit fantasy fays in six of his last seven games. There's plenty of better options this week, this deep in the fantasy playoffs.

CLE RB Kareem Hunt - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Chicago Bears

Kareem Hunt continues to split carries with Jerome Ford and now has a touchdown in six out of his last nine games. However, it's touchdown-or-bust when it comes to Hunt's fantasy outlook. That's not exactly what you want, especially against an improving Bears defense, in the fantasy playoffs. Proceed at your own risk with Hunt if you think he'll score a touchdown again this week.

CLE RB Kareem Hunt - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Kareem Hunt continues to close the gap between him and Jerome Ford. Ford is still playing more snaps but Hunt ended up with one more touch last week. It was also Hunt's first game this season averaging four yards per attempt. Keep an eye however as Hunt is dealing with a groin injury. Hunt is still a roll of the dice. After five straight games with a touchdown, he has gone scoreless in the last three.

CLE RB Kareem Hunt - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Los Angeles Rams

Kareem Hunt dropped down to just seven rushes against the Broncos as the game got away from the Browns a bit. He only went for 22 yards. Hunt doesn't have a game yet where he averaged four yards per rush, though he came close in Weeks 6 (vs. San Francisco) and 8 (at Seattle) with 3.9 yards per rush in each game. Hunt is a borderline flex play as the Browns should be able to run the ball more against the Rams, but Hunt is still taking a backseat to Jerome Ford.

CLE RB Kareem Hunt - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Denver Broncos

Kareem Hunt and Jerome Ford each saw 12 rushing attempts last week against the Steelers as Cleveland may look to focus on the run with Dorian Thompson-Robinson as the quarterback. Hunt hasn't been very productive, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry this season, but he tends to get plenty of chances to score touchdowns. He's a risky play, but there's at least some volume here to work with.

CLE RB Kareem Hunt - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Kareem Hunt is still seeing some work, including in the red zone. That red-zone work has helped him reach a streak of five straight games with a touchdown. But his fantasy potential is now too dependent on scoring a touchdown. Hunt was not on the team in Week 2 when the Browns faced the Steelers for the first time this season, since Nick Chubb had not gotten injured yet. Hunt is a deep flex play with his touchdown-or-bust deal.
