LAC TE Gerald Everett - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Denver Broncos

It's not exciting, and it's not exactly breaking the bank, but Gerald Everett has carved out a nice little niche for himself in recent weeks. He saw eight targets for the third game in a row in Week 16, catching seven for 42 yards on his way to 7.7 Half-PPR points. Everett has 17 receptions over his last three games.

Everett can be viewed as a low-end, low-upside TE1 option this week against a Broncos team that is 28th in aFPA to the position this season. They have allowed the fourth-most receptions (89) and the second-most receiving yards (988) in the entire league.

LAC TE Gerald Everett - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Buffalo Bills

If Easton Stick likes doing something, it's targeting Gerald Everett. Stick targetted him four times after coming in for Justin Herbert in Week 14, and then sent eight passes his way in Week 15. Everett responded with his second consecutive five-catch outing, but only posted 6.6 Half-PPR points. Still, that's up on his seasonal point-per-game average of 5.9, so that's something at least.

The Bills rank 24th in aFPA to tight ends this season, which coupled with Stick's desire to feed Everett makes him an interesting, if low upside, fantasy option at tight end this week. Still, we should not expect worlds from Everett, who hasn't had more than 47 yards in a single game all season, and a mid-tier TE2 projection is probably the best way to proceed with him in Week 16.

LAC TE Gerald Everett - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Las Vegas Raiders

Gerald Everett caught five of his targets for 39 yards against the Broncos, feats that saw him earn 6.4 Half-PPR points in Week 14 to finish as the TE22 in that format. This was perfectly in line with Everett’s seasonal average, ranking as he does at TE22 in points per game.

Everett has some projectable value in Week 15, but only as a low-end TE2 on an offense led by Easton Stick against a Raiders team that ranks eighth in aFPA to tight ends in 2023. If that is what you’re looking for, then jam him into your lineups. But if you need something more from the tight end spot, then you should probably look elsewhere this week.

LAC TE Gerald Everett - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Denver Broncos

Gerald Everett put together another steady performance in Week 13, with his 44 yards from four grabs marking his second straight game with more than 40 yards through the air. Everett managed 6.4 Half-PPR points, a tick more than his seasonal average of 5.8, and finished as the TE17 for the week.

The Broncos have seriously struggled to contain tight ends all season long, ranking fourth in receptions allowed (74) and second in yards allowed (852). This almost certainly has contributed to their ranking 27th in aFPA to tight ends. Everett has some streaming appeal this week, and projects to be a low-end TE1.

LAC TE Gerald Everett - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New England Patriots

Gerald Everett enjoyed a productive, relatively speaking, outing against the Ravens in Week 12. Everett caught all four of his targets for 43 yards and a touchdown on his way to 12.3 Half-PPR points, and finished as the TE4 for the week.

Everett has been more miss than hit this season, and despite a less than imposing matchup in Week 13 - the Patriots rank 13th in aFPA to tight ends this season - it's hard to imagine him going off in a big way this week. Still, with bye weeks to contend with, he should be able to produce high-end TE2 numbers.

LAC TE Gerald Everett - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Detroit Lions

Gerald Everett continues to do very little, with his proximity to one of the game's most talented young quarterbacks seemingly the major reason for his continuing apparent fantasy relevance. Everett managed a less-than-stellar 2.8 Half-PPR points last week and is only averaging 6.6 points per game. He's the TE20 in fantasy points per game.

Week 10 against the Lions is another "Could it be the week" spot for Everett in 2023. The Lions rank 24th in aFPA to tight ends this season. But Everett has done precious little to generate much excitement, even in good matchups. Look to him as a mid-tier TE2 this week.

LAC TE Gerald Everett - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Chicago Bears

Gerald Everett found the end zone in Week 7, the second week in a row in which he scored a touchdown. He only managed 26 yards on three receptions though, giving him 10.1 Half-PPR points. Everett finished as the TE9 but is only the TE14 in points per game.

The Bears rank 20th in aFPA against tight ends in 2023. But despite a recent appetite for touchdowns, Everett is simply not seeing enough work (nor producing enough with his opportunities) to make him a must-start in fantasy. He should be able to put up high-end TE2 numbers, but probably not a lot more than that.
