Scouting report

NYJ RB Dalvin Cook - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Washington Commanders
Dalvin Cook had two touches for a total of 10 yards last week as he played only 17% of the offensive snaps. The Jets offense is awful and of course the fantasy numbers bare that out in games like last week.

The only reason Cook has any value is because the matchup this Sunday is favorable as the Commanders rank 31st in aFPA to running backs. Still, keep Cook on the bench for Week 16 as we don't expect the offense to be much better even if Cook is more involved.

NYJ RB Dalvin Cook - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Houston Texans
Dalvin Cook had nine carries, the most for him since Week 1 when he was the starter. He ended up with 35 yards rushing. With Hall not 100%, Cook should be more involved when the Jets have the ball.

The Texans have an average run defense so Cook should be okay if he gets the touches. Start him for Week 14 as a low-end RB3 or Flex as we expect Hall's workload to be limited.

NYJ RB Dalvin Cook - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Dalvin Cook had only three touches last week and still is firmly behind Breece Hall on the depth chart. Hall is questionable for this week so keep an eye on that. If he can't play for some reason, Cook's fantasy stock rises. But for now, keep him on the bench.

NYJ RB Dalvin Cook - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Buffalo Bills
Dalvin Cook has had only 17 carries over the past five games. The Jets have been riding Breece Hall in the running game and Cook has become an afterthought. Cook might get more opportunities this week and if he does, he could get some fantasy numbers. But those are big ifs and he should remain on the bench for Week 11.

NYJ RB Dalvin Cook - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Las Vegas Raiders
Dalvin Cook's playing time has pretty much disappeared. He had three touches for eight yards last week. The Jets want Breece Hall to get as many touches as possible which means Cook isn't part of the plan. Only reason he is mentioned this week is because the Raiders run defense is very bad. Keep Cook on the bench for Week 10.

NYJ RB Dalvin Cook - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Dalvin Cook had six carries for 23 yards last week, but he played a season-low 17% of the Jets offensive snaps. This has basically become Breece Hall's team. The matchup this week will be tough against a very good Eagles defense. But in the end, it's the lack of action for Cook which keeps him on the bench or even waiver wire for Week 6.

NYJ RB Dalvin Cook - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Denver Broncos
Dalvin Cook played 25% of the snaps on Sunday as Breece Hall is getting more and Michael Carter still in the mix at running back for the Jets. Cook will still have a role, but his fantasy stock as already plunged.

Cook faces the Broncos who are ranked last in the NFL in aFPA to running backs. But he will not get enough action to warrant a starting spot for Week 5. Keep him on the bench against Denver.
