Scouting report

SEA RB Chris Carson - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Rams

Carson has been pretty consistent since his return from injury. He's been hovering around 12-15 carries and averaging about 70 rushing yards in the last three games. The Rams have been very solid against the run, though they allowed a score to the ageless wonder, Frank Gore, in last week's shocking loss to the Jets. The Rams will likely be hellbent on stopping Carson and the Seahawks. Still, Carson is No. 12 in half-PPR this week

SEA RB Chris Carson - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Washington

Carson has been rolling since returning to the lineup in Week 12. He has a touchdown in three straight games and at least 90 total yards in the last two. But he now faces a tough Washington defense. Only one running back (Nick Chubb, Week 3) reached 100 yards against Washington in 2020 and they've only allowed six rushing touchdowns all season. Carson's rushing and receiving usage gives him enough upside to be a solid RB2 for this week, as he also has seen 11 targets in the last two games.

SEA RB Chris Carson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs Jets

Carson looks healthy again, hitting 100 total yards for the first time since Week 4 and scored a touchdown for the second straight game. While Carson is facing the Jets this week, he's actually facing a team that is just outside the top ten in rushing defense. Even still, Carson has taken back the top spot in Seattle, even with only playing less than 60 percent of the snaps against the Giants. He's a top-five option as we get into the fantasy playoffs.

SEA RB Chris Carson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Giants

In his first game back from injury, Carson only played 25/67 snaps against the Eagles and had just 10 touches. That likely was due to Seattle's easing him back into game action. But in those ten touches, Carson totaled 59 yards and a touchdown. Seattle will likely get Carson more involved now that he's healthier. He's back as a top-ten option among running backs, just in time for the fantasy playoffs.

SEA RB Chris Carson - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs Eagles

Carson looks ready to play his first game since Week 7 when he suffered a foot injury against the Cardinals. He returns at a good time, as he faces a free-falling Eagles team. Carson should get his usual workload again, putting him right back in the RB2 range that he has settled in at.

SEA RB Chris Carson - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs Cardinals

Chris Carson has posted two 100-yard games in the last three meetings with the Cardinals. The one he didn't was Week 16 last season when he got injured and saw his season come to an end. But before the injury, he had 60 yards on just nine touches. Carson should continue his impressive work against Arizona in primetime this week.

SEA RB Chris Carson - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Vikings

If there was any doubt about the status of Chris Carson, they were quieted Sunday with 19 touches for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Travis Homer saw just one target against the Dolphins. Carson now gets the league's 24th-ranked rushing defense in Minnesota and a team allowing the 13th-most fantasy points per game to running backs. Carson is our No. 4 running back this week.
