Via Darren Urban of the team’s official website, coach Kliff Kingsbury said Butler would miss the rest of the preseason, but that it was too soon to know his status for the regular season. Both Isabella and Johnson have looked good according to reports and are also rookie WRs. In a story posted Monday, some feel Johnson has been the standout of camp to this point.
Kliff Kingsbury hasn’t divulged exactly how he plans to utilize his pass catchers, but he’s said he wants to move Larry Fitzgerald around to keep defenses honest and that Christian Kirk will play a key role because of his talents and how well he knows the offense.
Beyond that, it remains to be seen what type of roles the rookies will play, although they all figure to get a chance to play a lot.
According to Kingsbury, it starts with Fitzgerald, who quickly developed a strong chemistry with Kyler Murray during offseason workouts, the story said. Fitz is expected to be used as a security blanket.
