Scouting report

NE TE Scott Chandler - Week 14, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Houston
After a solid 5-58-1 line in Week 12, Scott Chandler put up a solid 4-61-1 line in Week 13. Though he does face the third stingiest aFPA matchup for TEs, the targets should be present this weekend as Chandler continues his relief work for the injured Gronk. In what may be an indictment on this weekend's TE options than anything, we have Chandler as a solid TE1 option again this weekend.

NE TE Scott Chandler - Week 13, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs Philadelphia
With TE Rob Gronkowski figuring to miss at least this weekend, backup Scott Chandler should see a nice role for the Patriots. Last week he put up a reasonable 5-58-1 line, starting off in two TE formations before taking over for Gronk as the primary TE. While there will be a noticeable real and fake football drop off from Gronk to Chandler, Chandler should be a solid TE1 streamer this weekend and should see quite a few targets.

NE TE Scott Chandler - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at BUF
In Week One, Scott Chandler poached what will be his first of several "stolen" Gronk TDs on the season. However, he did so while putting up a clearly limited 1-1-1 line off of one target. Playing less than half the snaps in Week One, we would caution any current or prospective Chandler owners against reading too much into the TD.

BUF TE Scott Chandler - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17: Chandler vs Patriots

Scott Chandler was back in the end zone last week for the first time since Week 13. The Bills tight end had his usual four catches, but the touchdowns are where his fantasy value emulates from.

He will face a Patriots team that is 30th in aFPA to tight ends and Chandler had his best game of the season in the first meeting with New England catching six passes for 105 yards. The Pats secondary has been good at covering wide receivers, which has left tight ends to have some big games. Still, because of Chandler's overall body of work, he should remain on the bench for Week 17.

BUF TE Scott Chandler - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16: Chandler vs Raiders

After his strongest fantasy outing of the season two weeks ago, Scott Chandler went back to his normal numbers with a two catch game. Chandler's only value is when he gets in the end zone which has only happened twice this season.

Even with a good matchup against the Raiders, who are 25th in aFPA to tight ends, Chandler should remain on the bench for Week 16.

BUF TE Scott Chandler - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15: Chandler vs Packers

Scott Chandler had a season-high eight catches and 11 targets last week, but the Bills also threw the ball 57 times so this isn't a big surprise. Definitely, look at that as a one-time deal as the Bills are not expected to throw the ball that much this week and Chandler's history doesn't show him near those numbers on a weekly basis.

Chandler will face Green Bay, who is 12th in aFPA to tight ends so the matchup is fairly neutral which is even more reason to keep Chandler on the bench for Week 15.

BUF TE Scott Chandler - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14: Chandler vs Broncos
Kyle Chandler had three catches, but for only 2 yards so those numbers aren't going to excite any fantasy owners. Even with a good matchup this week against Broncos who are ranked 24th in aFPA to tight ends, Chandler should remain on the bench for Week 14. He's not a realistic fantasy option.
