49ers TE George Kittle (knee, ankle) did not practice Wednesday. Kittle’s return to practice is a good sign for his potential Week 12 availability. He may be able to return this week but it’s no sure thing. Ross Dwelley would be a solid start if Kittle can’t play.
SF TE Ross Dwelley - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 12 vs. Green Bay Packers
Ross Dwelley had a pair of touchdowns last week against the Cardinals, but he gained only 14 yards on four receptions. He has benefitted from additional targets the past two weeks without George Kittle in the lineup, doubling his season total in receptions during that time. Dwelley is more of a safety valve than a legitimate seam-stretcher like Kittle is, but he has upside as a clear red zone target based on his production last week.
No team is as bad as the Cardinals against the tight end this season, but the Packers are pretty bad, ranking 27th in aFPA to the position. Dwelley is risky, but in a world where legitimate fantasy tight ends are a rarity, it’s worth gambling on him as a streaming option in deep leagues given the opportunity and matchup.
