Scouting report

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Dallas
Even without Jared Cook, Rodgers caught just one pass for six yards, despite playing 73 snaps last week. Dallas has allowed at least 72 yards to opposing tight ends in four of five games and has given up three TE touchdowns, so there's some hope for Rodgers. But there are plenty of more reliable options available at the position.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New York Giants
With Jared Cook out, Rodgers takes over the No. 1 TE role. That's the good news. The bad is he's been little used thus far, with just eight targets resulting in five catches for 58 yards. He did get into the end zone last week and faces a Giants defense that has given up at least 56 yards to opposing tight ends in three of four games this season. He's a No. 2 tight end this week.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

2016 Fantasy Outlook
Rodgers saw 85 targets last season and posted a more-than-respectable 58 catches and eight touchdowns. However, he only produced 510 yards on those 58 catches. Wwith Jared Cook now on board, you can expect Rodgers' targets to at least be cut in half this season. He may still be a red zone target, but his ADP taps him as the 26th-best fantasy tight end and 217th overall. He's purely end-of-the-roster fodder.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 19, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 19 at Arizona
Quite frankly, unless Rodgers scores, he doesn't have a lot of value. He had just two catches for 11 yards last week on four targets. He might get a couple of extra targets this week with Davante Adams out, but he managed just one reception for two yards a few weeks ago at Arizona. Thanks, but no thanks.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 18, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 18 at Washington
After a couple of down weeks, Aaron Rodgers discovered his tight end again last week, hitting Richard Rodgers for seven passes for 59 yards and a score. Rodgers has scored in three of his past five games. But Washington allowed just four tight end touchdowns all season. That diminishes Rodgers' value since he's not a high volume catch player.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 17, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Minnesota
After what was thought to be a breakout game against the Lions four weeks ago, Rodgers hasn't caught more than one pass in any game since. The Vikings haven't allowed a tight end score in six games, including a matchup with Rodgers in which he caught three passes for seven yards. I'd pass on him again this week.

GB TE Richard Rodgers - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Arizona
In the past two games, Rodgers has just one catch each. He's still a threat to score each week, but his up-and-down performances just aren't what you're looking for this late in the season. There are far better options out there, even though Arizona has allowed 19 tight end receptions in the past two games.
