CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Like most of the Browns' other receivers, Rashard Higgins missed Week 16 due to the league's COVID protocols which is a shame as he had been rounding into form before the absence. Higgins has seen 24 targets in his last three games, and his downfield role means those targets are valuable when he and Baker Mayfield manage to connect. Higgins will have a tough matchup this week against the Steelers' strong defense, but the narrow target tree in Cleveland makes him viable as an upside play in fantasy as he should have no problem seeing enough targets to turn in a solid day if he can be efficient with his looks. Higgins will carry serious risk as always, but you could do worse as a fantasy option in Week 17.

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at New York Jets
Rashard Higgins continued his streak of solid production when not playing in a wind-affected game last week by posting a 4-76-0 line in a game the Browns controlled from start to finish last week against the Giants. This week's game against the Jets presents a better matchup than that game, and Higgins has a real chance at getting loose for some big gains if Baker Mayfield looks his way against a porous Jets secondary. Higgins's Week 16 outlook includes the type of upside you want in a flex play during championship week. Consider Higgins an upside WR3 this week with room for more if things fall his way.

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at New York Giants
Rashard Higgins has finally made his presence known over the last two weeks. In games against the Titans and Ravens, Higgins has racked up 19 targets, 12 catches, 163 yards and two touchdowns. That kind of production cannot be ignored despite Higgins's past struggles. The Browns' targets are heavily concentrated on Higgins and Jarvis Landry, meaning both receivers should have a decent floor when the Browns throw for any volume. That being said, Higgins's Week 15 matchup is somewhat concerning as he should see plenty of James Bradberry's coverage on the outside. While Higgins's recent play is promising, the tough matchup renders him a risky flex play in Week 15.

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Jacksonville Jaguars
Rashard Higgins's only good game remains the game where Odell Beckham left with an injury. Since that time, he has dealt with severe weather, specifically wind, and minuscule passing volume which has led to underwhelming production on all fronts. This week's matchup with Jacksonville is about as soft as they come, with Jacksonville struggling to stop opposing offenses even before losing a myriad of cornerbacks to injury. Even with that matchup boost, it is highly unlikely Higgins gets enough looks to warrant starting unless Cleveland somehow falls behind early. Keep Higgins on benches in Week 12.

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
There was some mild hype surrounding Rashard Higgins after Odell Beckham went down injured, but Higgins has failed to live up to that hype outside of the game where Beckham got hurt. To be fair, Higgins thrives downfield and both of the Browns' games since losing Beckham have been affected by strong winds. The more mild weather forecasted for this week works in Higgins's favor, but a tough matchup against the solid Philadelphia defense makes him a risky start when combined with the Browns' low passing volume. Higgins is not startable unless you are desparate at receiver.

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Houston Texans
Rashard Higgins had a disappointing performance in his debut filling in for Odell Beckham but part of that can be attributed to the weather. Unfortunately for Higgins, the weather looks like it will an issue again this Sunday when he faces off with the Texans' burnable defense. Higgins is also the most likely candidate to face off with Bradley Roby if he is healthy enough to play, which would dampen his outlook. The Houston secondary is not an overly imposing matchup, but the weather and Higgins's uncertain role make him a risky start in fantasy.

CLE WR Rashard Higgins - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Rashard Higgins looks set to take on a much bigger role starting in Week 8 as he looks to fill in for the injured Odell Beckham. Higgins had accumulated a total of six targets in six weeks before attracting six targets in Week 7 alone following Beckham's injury. While most football fans are far more familiar with Jarvis Landry, it is Higgins who will likely get the deep targets off play-action, as Landry has always been better suited in a role working underneath. Higgins has never been a consistent fantasy producer, but he now has the opportunity to show the league what he's got. Higgins is startable as a desperate flex play but has upside for more depending on how the Browns decide to use him.
