Scouting report

HOU K Randy Bullock - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Tampa Bay
Randy Bullock is now three-for-three on field goal attempts this season, after drilling a 43-yarder in the loss to the Panthers last week. Houston’s offense just isn’t potent enough right now for you to expect much from Bullock.

HOU K Randy Bullock - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Carolina
Randy Bullock made field goals of 34 and 47 yards in the opener, but missed his only extra point attempt. The Panthers held Jacksonville to just nine points last week and without Arian Foster, the Texans will likely struggle to move the ball in Carolina.

HOU K Randy Bullock - Week 1, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Kansas City
Randy Bullock is coming off of a stellar season, booting 30-of-35 FGs and totaling 130 points. He connected on 86 percent of his field goal attempts in 2014, averaging eight points a contest. With Brian Hoyer at QB and Arian Foster out, don’t expect a big offensive performance from the Texans in the opener. That type of performance would work in Bullock’s favor, as he'd likely see more field goal opportunities.

HOU K Randy Bullock - 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
After kicking the game-winning field goal in his first-ever NFL start at San Diego in 2013, Randy Bullock had what he called "a roller coaster" of a first season. He missed nine field goals before successfully kicking 12-consecutive field goals to end the 2013 season. He built on his success, prepared hard in the offseason and it all contributed to the success he had in 2014 -- including a franchise record six-field goal game in December that earned him AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Fantasy Downside
Overall, Bullock has attempted 35 field goals in each of the last two season and has made 80 percent of them. Among all kickers that attempted 70 or more field goals during that time, Bullock's accuracy is second-worst and he's seen the third-fewest extra points.

Bottom Line
There is little reason to believe the Texans offense will improve enough this season to make him worthwhile in season-long fantasy leagues. Go ahead and file Bullock in the daily value bin for weeks the Texans have favorable matchups.

HOU K Randy Bullock - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 – Randy Bullock vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
What a season Randy Bullock is having. In last week’s home win against the Ravens he booted six FGs (all under 40 yards) and is 30-of-35 on the season. Randy kicked two FGs and totaled nine points in the win at Jacksonville just three weeks ago and is a good kicking option in the regular season finale at NRG Stadium.

HOU K Randy Bullock - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 – Randy Bullock vs. Baltimore Ravens
In the loss to the Colts last Sunday, Randy Bullock had just one FG attempt, but he was good from 53 yards out. With newly re-signed Case Keenum again the team’s QB, the Texans may go with an even more conservative game plan, which will likely limit Bullock’s opportunities.

HOU K Randy Bullock - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 – Randy Bullock vs. Indianapolis Colts
Randy Bullock booted two 44 yard FGs at Jacksonville last week and totaled nine points. He has hit on 82 percent of his FG attempts this season, but Houston has a tough road test on Sunday.
