SF WR Quinton Patton - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Miami
Patton had six receptions for 106 yards in Week 9 at New Orleans. He has five catches for 69 yards in the two games since. The 49ers just aren't talented enough on the offensive side of the ball for Patton to be any kind of threat week to week. The matchup this week is OK, but Miami has given up just four WR touchdowns in five home games this season. Patton is nothing more than a flex play.

Week 11 vs. New England
Patton followed up his first 100-yard game of the season with three catches for 52 yards. He's just not a consistent enough option in a bad passing defense to consider using, even against a defense that gave up three touchdowns to receivers last week. Patton is nothing more than a flex play if completely needed.

Week 10 at Arizona
Patton had six catches for 106 yards last week but that was more receiving yards than he had in his previous five games combined. Put Patton on your radar since he has 13 receptions in three games with Colin Kaepernick at QB. But it would be a stretch to put him in your lineup this week against Arizona.

Week 9 vs. New Orleans
After getting four receptions on a season-high seven targets for 52 yards in Colin Kaepernick's first start, Patton had just three receptions for 13 yards on four targets the second time out. There's just no reason to roll with Patton this week, even with a soft matchup against the New Orleans pass defense this week. The usage just isn't consistent.

Week 7 vs. Tampa Bay
Patton got a season-high seven targets last week and responded with four catches for 52 yards. Colin Kaepernick seems more intent on getting the ball to his outside receivers, so Patton is worth keeping an eye on this week, especially against a Tampa Bay defense that has given up nine WR scores this season.

Since catching five passes for 60 yards in Week 1, Patton has five catches for 46 yards in three games since, including one for 13 last week. No thanks.

Week 3 at Seattle
Patton had three receptions for 25 yards last week and has eight catches in the first two weeks. That doesn't sound like somebody you should have in your starting lineup, particularly against Seattle on the road.
