Week 17 vs Miami Dolphins
Phillip Dorsett's disappearing act has now lasted three games, as he hasn't caught a pass since Week13. This will be Dorsett's most successful season in New England, but he simply hasn't panned out as a reliable starter for the Patriots, and there are far too many better bets at the wide receiver position to consider playing Dorsett in fantasy.

It appears as though Phillip Dorsett has ceded his starting role to rookie N'Keal Harry, as his snap share has plummeted rapidly from 71% in Week 13 to 49% in Week 14 to 14% in Week 15. Dorsett wasn't targeted once last week, and while his extremely low snap share might have been due to Harry's superior blocking abilities in what was a run-heavy game plan, his 0.03 PPR points per snap is the lowest among Patriots wide receivers over the past three games. Utilizing him even as a dart-throw contrarian DFS play in Week 16 is more likely to injure an innocent bystander than return fantasy value.

NE WR Phillip Dorsett - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Cincinnati Bengals
Philip Dorsett got off to a great start for the 2019 season, catching 93% of his targets and scoring three touchdowns in New England's first three games. In his seven games since Dorsett has caught just 43% of his targets and scored two total touchdowns. He hasn't had more than three receptions in a game since Week 3, so playing him is a hope and a prayer for a touchdown on a deep target. That's not a bet I would make in the fantasy playoffs, even against a Bengals defense that ranks 23rd in aFPA to wide receivers.

NE WR Phillip Dorsett - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs Kansas City Chiefs
Phillip Dorsett hasn't been a target magnet in 2019, but he's been targeted 11 times over his last two games played, and he converted that volume into just five receptions for 48 total yards. In Week 13, Dorsett's 0.06 PPR points per snap were the eighth-lowest among all wide receivers with a snap share of 60% or more. Dorsett missed Week 12 with a concussion suffered in Week 11, which could explain his lack of efficiency to some degree.

Dorsett is the Patriots' primary deep threat, but he hasn't been producing, and he may be losing touches to rookie Jakobi Meyers who doesn't approach Dorsett's speed. Dorsett is likely a free agent in most leagues, and should remain that way in Week 14 against a Chiefs defense that ranks fourth in aFPA to wide receivers.

Week 13 at Houston Texans
Phillip Dorsett missed the Patriots' Week 12 game with a concussion, but he's cleared the protocol and is on track to return against the Texans. When Tom Brady elects to take a deep shot to a wide receiver, Dorsett is the most likely recipient and his 11.9-yard aDOT leads Patriots wide receivers. His five receiving touchdowns also lead the team, despite a 9.4% target share that's last among New England's veteran starting wide receiver trio.

The Texans lost J.J. Watt to injury for the remainder of the season, and the efficacy of their pass rush has suffered significantly as a result. Houston has pressured opposing quarterbacks only 17.8% of the time, the lowest mark in the league. Facing a string of strong pass-rushing defenses over the past few games, Tom Brady hasn't had much time in the pocket to target longer-developing deep routes, but that projects to change this week. This, in combination with his low volume, makes Dorsett a low-floor, high-ceiling start this week as a WR4 or flex play in deeper leagues.

Week 12 vs Dallas Cowboys
Phillip Dorsett is looking like a strong possibility to return on Sunday after being concussed during the Eagles game in Week 11. Dorsett was the only Patriots receiver to visit the end zone against Philadelphia last week, and his 11.9-yard aDOT continues to pace Patriots receivers. Dorsett is also one of only ten wide receivers with at least 25 targets without a single drop.

Dorsett will draw primary coverage from cornerback Byron Jones who's been excellent in coverage, and the Cowboys defense as a whole has allowed the seventh-lowest aFPA to wide receivers. Dorsett's 9.4% target rate is the second-lowest rate among active Patriots wide receivers, but with a group that should be thinner than usual with Mohamed Sanu's absence, Dorsett could see a moderate target increase this week. He's still a low-floor option as a WR4/FLEX given the tough matchup with Dallas.

*UPDATE 11/23* - Phillip Dorsett has yet to be cleared by doctors from the concussion protocol as of Saturday, making him unlikely to play Sunday against the Cowboys.

Week 11 at Philadephia Eagles
The Patriots essentially deployed a constant three-man corps at the wide receiver position in Week 9 against the Ravens, with Julian Edelman and Mohamed Sanu seeing 100% of the Patriots' offensive plays, while Phillip Dorsett missed just a single snap. Dorsett's 6.1% target rate was the lowest among all Patriots offensive players, which was notably low even for Dorsett's 9.0% season-long target rate that's lower than all of New England's wide receivers aside from Rookies Jakobi Meyers and Gunner Olszewski.

Philip Dorsett lines up primarily outside on the left side of the offense, and he could see snap competition moving forward with first-round draft pick N'Keal Harry expected to see his first regular-season snaps against the Eagles. Dorsett 4.33 speed makes him New England's fastest receiver, with a 12-yard aDOT that paces the position for the Patriots, so he's always a threat to connect on a deep pass from Brady. He's a volatile asset in fantasy, and while he's hard to recommend as anything more than a WR4 start in redraft leagues, he's certainly in play as a tournament option for DFS.
