Scouting report

PIT QB Michael Vick - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Arizona
Vick hasn't exactly lit the world on fire since taking over for the injured Ben Roethlisberger, but he did have a big fourth quarter against the Chargers. He threw for 203 yards and a score last week, and scrambled for another 24, with a healthy portion of that coming in the fourth quarter. Arizona has allowed a pair of 300-yard passers and has given up five passing TDs in the past two weeks, but the Cardinals have also been opportunistic with 11 interceptions and rank sixth in QB points allowed. I would recommend against starting Vick this week.

PIT QB Michael Vick - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at San Diego
Vick wasn't asked to do a lot last week after having had just one day of practice for a Thursday night game. He provided a Kaepernick-like line of 124 yards passing, 33 rushing yards and a touchdown through the air. With a full week of practice under his belt, the Steelers will ask Vick to go down the field more this week. He could benefit from the possible return of Martavis Bryant, though Bryant has been missing from practice this week. San Diego just allowed 356 yards passing and two scores to the Browns. Don't expect that out of Vick, but 200 yards and a score or two (plus his usual scrambles) should provide a decent stat line.

PIT QB Michael Vick - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs Baltimore

Vick takes over for Ben Roethlisberger, who is expected to be out 4-6 weeks (I'm hearing it will be closer to six weeks than it will four) with perhaps the best weapons around him he's had in his career. He was 5 for 6 for 38 yards last week in relief of Roethlisberger with the Steelers sitting on a lead. The Steelers will ask more of him moving forward.

The Ravens have allowed over 700 yards and six touchdown passes in the past two weeks. Their pass defense is a mess. The Steelers will design some rollouts and moving pockets to help Vick be successful. He won't be a top-5 fantasy performer like Roethlisberger, but he'll get you some decent points.

NYJ QB Michael Vick - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12: Vick vs Bills
Prior to the bye week, Michael Vick was coming off a solid performance in which he threw two touchdowns in a win over the Steelers. He only threw 18 passes, but the scores gave him some value that week along with zero interceptions. The Jets aren't nearly as bad as their record, and Vick has given them some offense with only one pick in his three starts since taking over for Geno Smith.

He will face the Bills in Detroit as the game was move because of the snow storm in western New York. Buffalo is ranked 10th in aFPA to quarterbacks so the matchup favors the Bills.

Although Vick has been an improvement, he still has not put up any numbers to indicate he can make a strong fantasy impact. Keep him on the bench for Week 12.

NYJ QB Michael Vick - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10: Vick vs Steelers

At least it wasn't a total train wreck last week with the Jets. Michael Vick's numbers weren't great from a fantasy standpoint, but they weren't horrible either. He threw for 196 yards, a TD and zero picks while completing 75% of his passes.

Vick will face a Steelers defense that is 18th in aFPA to quarterbacks so he could have similar numbers this week. His ranking is a solid QB2 for Week 10, but that still keeps him on the bench in most formats. There is some upside with his legs.
