PIT QB Mason Rudolph - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Cincinnati Bengals
If there's one thing that can cure a struggling offense, it's the Cincinnati Bengals. Trouble is, Mason Rudolph isn't going to have his full complement of weapons available this week. Rudolph easily had the worst game of his young career on a short week in Cleveland last week, throwing for 221 yards and one touchdown, but tossing four interceptions, as well. The Bengals are 29th in QB scoring allowed and Rudolph threw for 229 yards and two touchdowns against them earlier this season. But without JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Conner, it could be more difficult.

PIT QB Mason Rudolph - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Cleveland Browns
Mason Rudolph threw for 242 yards and a touchdown last week against the Rams. He also had four dropped passes on what should have been easy catches that would have made his day look a whole lot better. He's making progress and gets James Conner back this week. The Browns have allowed 16 touchdown passes this season and have just four interceptions. The forecast for Thursday night is 30 degrees with some windy conditions, which could affect the downfield throws. Rudolph should only be an option in two-quarterback leagues.

PIT QB Mason Rudolph - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Los Angeles Rams
Mason Rudolph threw for just 191 yards with one touchdown and one interception last week against the Colts as the Steelers are leaning heavily on ball control to help their young quarterback. He's checking down to the running backs a lot, which is leading to plenty of completions but not a lot of yards. This is a tough matchup against the Rams. Even with six teams on the bye, Rudolph shouldn't be started.

PIT QB Mason Rudolph - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Mason Rudolph overcame a slow start last week to throw for 251 yards and two touchdowns with one interception last week against the Dolphins. The Colts have been middle of the pack when it comes to fantasy points allowed to the position and Rudolph has just been average, so that's what to expect out of him this week. There are better starting options out there this week.

PIT QB Mason Rudolph - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Miami Dolphins
Mason Rudolph will be back for the Steelers this week after missing the team's last game two weeks ago against the Chargers because of a concussion. He's had a few weeks to clear his head and now faces an atrocious Dolphins pass defense. It might sound crazy, but Rudolph is a low-end QB1 play this week because of the matchup. The Steelers will be looking to get him rolling on some of his downfield throws as they head into their second half.

PIT QB Mason Rudolph - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Baltimore Ravens
Mason Rudolph was much better in start No. 2 than he was in his first, throwing for 229 yards and a pair of scores against the Bengals. That gives him two touchdown passes in each of his first three games. The Ravens have allowed a bevy of big plays in the past three weeks after shutting down the Dolphins in their opener. In fact, since that game, the Ravens have given up an average of 461 yards per game. Rudolph is getting more comfortable and the coaching staff is getting more creative with him. He's only worth a start, however, in two-QB leagues.

PIT QB Mason Rudolph - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Mason Rudolph attempted just 27 passes in his first start, completing 14 for 174 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. But he threw for just 40 yards in the first half, as the Steelers had him throwing sideways a lot. Look for more downfield attempts this week. The Bengals are easier to run on than they are to pass against, but Rudolph should have more passing yards than he had last week in this one. That said, he still shouldn't be in your lineup.
