Scouting report

by Steve Andress

NE WR Malcolm Mitchell - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Chiefs

Mitchell is likely the third or fourth wide receiver on the Patriots depth chart, depending on if he'll play on the outside if Chris Hogan moves to the slot in 3-WR sets after Julian Edelman tore his ACL. As such, his snap count is unknown, and he's too risky to put in your lineups Week 1.

NE WR Malcolm Mitchell - Week 14, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Baltimore
Malcolm Mitchell is coming off of a 8-82-0 line on a massive 10 targets in a 26-10 win against the Rams in Week 13. Quietly, Mitchell is tied for second in team target market share at 14.46 percent over the past four games and the Patriots have actually deployed more three-WR sets as of late with Rob Gronkowski likely done for the year. Now that Danny Amendola is out for the foreseeable future as well, Mitchell is locked in as a top-two option in this passing game. He has an above-average matchup against the Ravens in Week 14 in regards WR aFPA and the Patriots are again heavily favored at home. MItchell will be a high-end WR3 in Week 14.
