Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (not injury related) was removed from the injury report Thursday. Williams is dealing with a knee injury, but officially, he’s not. The team signed Karlos Williams to the practice squad, which may be related to DeAngelo’s situation.
BUF RB Karlos Williams - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook
Karlos Williams was a major contributor to the Buffalo running game and might have been the Bills' most effective back. He averaged 5.9 yards per carry and produced 9 touchdowns. Williams will probably have more touchdown opportunity in goal line situations with his 230-pound frame.
Williams will miss the first four games of the season because of violating the NFL’s substance policy. Several things could happen from this, one being his job as the backup to LeSean McCoy might not be available when he returns. He also could be out of shape, like it was reported this summer.
2016 Bottom Line
Williams blew it. After an impressive rookie season, he took a major step back with the suspension. He still has some fantasy value, but his ADP has fallen to 163 and he is going a lot later round than he should. When he returns, he should be a part of the Bills offensive plans, but drafting him in the later rounds is probably an accurate assessment. Keep an eye on the fact the Bills brought in Reggie Bush although he would probably have a different role than Williams
