Scouting report

KC WR Justin Watson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Buffalo Bills

In Week 11, Justin Watson saw 11 targets and caught a touchdown. In Week 12, Watson scored another touchdown. In Week 13, Watson played 60% of the offensive snaps and didn't get a single target. This is just another example of how this Chiefs WR corps is difficult to trust outside of Rashee Rice. Watson could get involved again this week, but there's no guarantee. And that makes him a risky WR option in Week 14 against the Bills (16th aFPA).

KC WR Justin Watson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Green Bay Packers

After a season-high 11 targets in Week 11, Justin Watson didn't do much in Week 12. He only saw three targets, and caught one pass for three yards, which just happened to be a touchdown. Watson can pretty much be lumped in with the rest of the Chiefs WRs outside of Rashee Rice as someone who could perform well, but also could provide you a dud. He's a hit-or-miss WR4 for Week 13 against the Packers (13th aFPA).

KC WR Justin Watson - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Las Vegas Raiders

Justin Watson surprisingly led the Chiefs in targets last week (even more than Travis Kelce), finishing 5-53-1 on 11 targets. Watson has been oddly productive throughout the year, finishing above 50 yards in four games. But he's also finished with two receptions or less in six of his nine games. He's not much more than a Hail Mary play in Week 12 against the Raiders (13th aFPA).

KC WR Justin Watson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Watson played a season-high 73% of the offensive snaps last week as the Chiefs got hit with a pair of injuries at the WR position. Mecole Hardman has been placed on IR and JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) is trending towards not playing. Watson didn't do a whole lot with his playing time, finishing 1-12 on one target. Watson should once again get a lot of offensive snaps, but he's a risky option in Week 11 given his little production so far this season. He does have two touchdowns this year on limited playing time, but he's not much more than a Hail Mary play for Week 11.

TB WR Justin Watson - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Chicago Bears

Justin Watson finished 4-40 last week after finishing 2-48 in Week 2 (he was inactive due to injury in Week 3). He's a nice additional option for Tom Brady in this offense, but it's hard to see him being a consistent and reliable option in fantasy unless Scotty Miller gets injured. He's a weak WR5 play at best against Chicago this week.

TB WR Justin Watson - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The Bucs may be without Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Scott Miller (hip/groin), as both have been sidelined in practice this week with injuries. That would bump up Justin Watson, who was sidelined in Week 3 with an injury of his own. Watson has been somewhat productive this season, but he's a tough option to trust. He'd be a risky WR5 play this week in a tough matchup against the Chargers.

TB WR Justin Watson - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Justin Watson emerged as WR2 for this Bucs offense last week as Tampa deals with the loss of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Watson finished 5-43-1 off 10 targets against the Texans. He's now scored in two of his last three games. He gets a tougher matchup this week against the Falcons, and he's not a huge name so he carries some risk. We like him as a low-end WR2 or strong WR3 in this high-powered offense.
