Scouting report

ATL TE Jonnu Smith - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Jonnu Smith’s 61 yards receiving in Week 15 were his most since his 100-yard day in Week 9 and was one of the line bright spots what was a woeful offensive day against the Panthers. But he did so on just two targets. The good news is the quarterback in Week 9 was Taylor Heinicke, whom the Falcons are going back to this week. Still, he’s nowhere near worthy of a starting spot this week. He’s a borderline TE2.

NE TE Jonnu Smith - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It was a nice run while it lasted, but it seems Smith's time this season as a sleeper tight end option in fantasy is over. He has three catches for 11 yards since his 100-yard game in Week 9. He's simply not getting enough opportunities to be considered for lineups anymore. Even in the first Buccaneers game, he only had 27 yards.

NE TE Jonnu Smith - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at New York Jets

After a nice early-season stretch, Jonnu Smith has completely disappeared from the Falcons offense. He didn't even see a target last week. His lines over his last four games: 1-13, 5-100-1, 1-1, 0-0. His touchdown accounted for 60 of those 100 yards. And with the quarterback play already limiting the offense, there's just absolutely nothing here for now from a fantasy perspective. Smith remains on the bench.

NE TE Jonnu Smith - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New Orleans Saints

Jonnu Smith went from 100 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 to one yard in Week 10. There's too much fluctuation with Smith and he's still taking somewhat of a backseat to Kyle Pitts, who should be more involved himself. Even in a favorable matchup against New Orleans, Smith is almost touchdown-or-bust. That's fine as a TE2 but he's not a starter anytime soon.

ATL TE Jonnu Smith - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Arizona Cardinals

Jonnu Smith reached 100 yards last week against the Vikings thanks to a 60-yard touchdown on a screen. His workload has been pretty even with Kyle Pitts over the past few weeks and Drake London could return this week, further limiting both tight ends. Still, Smith has become a serviceable TE2 in fantasy circles.

ATL TE Jonnu Smith - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Jonnu Smith saw just one target last week against the Titans but could be in line for a few more this week if the Falcons don’t have Drake London (groin). Smith is still behind Kyle Pitts in the pecking order, but there could be enough this week for both to sneak into TE1 territory.

ATL TE Jonnu Smith - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Tennessee Titans

Three targets, three catches in Week 7 for Jonnu Smith, who is playing almost the same amount as Kyle Pitts at this point. He’s also equally capping Pitts’ fantasy appeal as well as his own, though he has gained more value than he started the season with. The Titans are a favorable matchup for the Falcons’ tight ends, but Smith is limited to a mid-tier TE2 thanks to Pitts.
