DET RB Joique Bell - Week 11, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Oakland
The Lions ground attack had another rough game at Green Bay last week, with Joique Bell leading the team with 14 carries for a whopping 17 yards. He also caught two passes for 18 yards. Ameer Abdullah was used for only five rushing attempts, indicating that as long as Joique remains healthy (shoulder injury) he should remain the featured back despite his 2.6 yards-per-carry average this season. The Raiders have one of the worst overall defenses in the league, however Bell should be inserted as a RB3/flex play at best.

DET RB Joique Bell - Week 10, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Green Bay
In the loss to Kansas City two weeks ago, Joique Bell led the Lions with seven rushes for 56 yards, including a season-long 32-yard run. Ameer Abdullah got himself in the doghouse early, leaving Joique to take most of the carries, but with the Lions so far behind it didn’t matter much. Even after the week off, expect more of the same from Detroit’s offense on Sunday at Green Bay, meaning you’re better off leaving Bell on your bench.

DET RB Joique Bell - Week 8, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Kansas City
After missing the previous three games, Joique Bell returned last Sunday versus the Vikes. Joique received three carries for 21 yards, including a 14-yard scamper. During his absence, Ameer Abdullah didn’t exactly take control of the Lions starting RB position, which means the two should continue to split time. In London this week, Bell does not make for a good fantasy start.

DET RB Joique Bell - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Minnesota
Joique Bell missed his third straight game last week, but is expected to play on Sunday against Minnesota. Ameer Abdullah has had trouble hanging on to the ball, but Joique has had his own issues, averaging just 1.1 yards per carry in three games. He was limited to 18 total yards on six touches in the Week 2 loss to the Vikings and does not make for a good fantasy start in the rematch.

DET RB Joique Bell - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Chicago
Battling an Achilles injury, Joique Bell has missed the past two contests. He is expected back this week, but the Lions ground game hasn’t done much with or without him this season. Bell doesn’t make for a good fantasy start, however, as he’ll likely be brought back into the mix slowly against a decent Chicago defense.

DET RB Joique Bell - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Arizona
Joique Bell missed last Monday’s game at Seattle with an ankle injury and likely will be out at home on Sunday. Even if he is able to play, Bell is averaging just over a yard per carry and will find himself behind rookie Ameer Abdullah on the depth chart.

DET RB Joique Bell - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Seattle
The Lions ran for just 28 yards in the loss to Denver last Sunday. Joique Bell led the team with 10 rushes, but for only six yards. He did have a one-yard touchdown plunge, so it wasn’t a complete disappointment for fantasy owners. In three games, Joique has been held to 22 yards on 20 rushing attempts, as the ground attack has had all sorts of problems. Ameer Abdullah is seeing more playing time than Bell, a trend that will likely continue, as long as he holds onto the ball. In Seattle on Monday night, this is likely a time to leave Bell on your bench.
