DET RB Jamaal Williams - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at New York Jets

Jamaal Williams remains the early-down back for the Lions but saw his touchdown streak come to an end last week against the Vikings. He'll look to start a new streak Sunday against the Jets. He'd also like more rushing yards, though the Lions have been slinging the football more over the last few weeks. This week, he faces the Jets, who have been solid against the run, but may not have Quinnen Williams this week, so keep an eye on that. It's basically a split with him and D'Andre Swift, as Swift gets the passing-game work. Both backs should be considered flex options this week in a fairly tough matchup.

DET RB Jamaal Williams - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Minnesota Vikings

With D'Andre Swift getting more involved in the offense, Jamaal Williams saw just 11 carries last week against the Jaguars for 35 yards, his lowest output since Week 1. But he did score for the fourth straight game and now has 14 touchdowns for the season. He's almost a lock at this point to score a touchdown, so he's still worthy of a start against a middling Vikings run defense, even with Swift getting back into the mix more fully.

DET RB Jamaal Williams - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Three straight games with a touchdown, four games out of five and leading the league with 13 rushing touchdowns. What a year it has been for Jamaal Williams. You can almost bank on him getting decent yardage -- he has rushed for at least 50 yards in every game except one and that was Week 1. D'Andre Swift will take some of his work in the passing game, but Williams is a bona fide RB2 going forward and has a solid matchup this week against the Jaguars.

DET RB Jamaal Williams - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Buffalo Bills

Three rushing touchdowns for Jamaal Williams in Week 11 as he has taken over the lead for the Lions in the backfield with D’Andre Swift still not quite 100 percent healthy. Williams now leads the league with 12 rushing touchdowns. Even against Buffalo, no reason to go against the hot hand and a key reason Detroit has won three straight games.

DET RB Jamaal Williams - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at New York Giants

We figured Jamaal Williams would still be involved with the return of D'Andre Swift, but Williams looks to be the top fantasy option now for the Lions. He gets the early-down work and red-zone work and is up to nine touchdowns this season. And he gets a favorable matchup this week against a bottom-ten Rush DVOA team in the Giants. His volume and a good matchup equal a worthy start this week for Williams.

DET RB Jamaal Williams - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Chicago Bears

Jamaal Williams looks to have taken the lead role in the Detroit backfield. Even with D'Andre Swift back, Williams saw 24 carries against the Packers. He'll get the red-zone work ahead of Swift, so you can make the argument Williams is now the top fantasy back in Detroit, especially in a very favorable matchup against the Bears. Williams is a borderline RB1 this week.

DET RB Jamaal Williams - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Green Bay Packers

Even with D'Andre Swift returning last week, Jamaal Williams isn't being forgotten about. He saw ten carries and took them for 53 yards and rushed for two touchdowns, as he got goal-line work over Swift. That trend will likely continue, though Swift may start getting more work between the 20s as he gets healthier. Still, Williams has enough to warrant flex, maybe even RB2, consideration.
