Scouting report

LV WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Indianapolis Colts

Jakobi Meyers led the team in catches and receiving yards last week against the Chiefs, but unfortunately, that only yielded three catches and 42 yards. The Raiders were dismal throwing the ball against a tough Chiefs defense. Meyers has been up and down this season, but h e has 91 targets and eight touchdowns on the season and has scored in two of his last four games. There’s upside with the former Patriot.

This week, Meyers faces a Colts defense that ranks ninth in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. It’s hard to trust him, especially in a fantasy championship game, but he does have some upside as a WR3 option if you need help at the position.

LV WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Kansas City Chiefs

Jakobi Meyers feasted along with everyone else against the Chargers last week in an extremely lopsided Las Vegas victory. Meyers only caught two passes for 32 yards, but scored his eighth touchdown this season and also threw a touchdown pass to Davante Adams early in the third quarter. Everything seemed to be working right in that game, and the Chargers fired their GM and their Head Coach the next morning.

This week, Meyers faces a Chiefs defense that ranks fifth in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. He had a nice game against them a few weeks ago with six catches, 79 yards, and a touchdown, so there’s upside for the former Patriot. Fantasy managers should take a cautious approach with him and this offense in general, but he’s still worth considering as a WR3 option in most leagues.

LV WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Jakobi Meyers caught five of his six targets last week against the Vikings, but h e gained only 25 yards. Meyers and the Raiders should have better days as they were shut out in a defensive battle. He has at least five targets in four of his last five games, however, giving him upside in any given week.

This week, Meyers faces a Chargers defense that ranks 23rd in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. In a nice matchup, there’s upside, but he’s been so volatile in this offense that it’s hard to trust him as more than a low-end WR3 option.

LV WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Jakobi Meyers had a nice game against the Chiefs before the bye last week. He caught six of his seven targets for 79 yards and his seventh touchdown of the season. Meyers has been pretty volatile and it’s hard to trust him in fantasy lineups, but rookie quarterback Aiden O’Connell is quietly improving as the season progresses and he has some decent matchups coming up.

This week, Meyers faces a Vikings defense that ranks 17th in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Meyers is pretty volatile, but he has upside in any given game, given the targets and production he’s had during tough conditions this season. Consider him a risky WR3 or flex option.

LV WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Jakobi Meyers caught four of his five targets for 49 yards last week in a loss to the Dolphins. The Raiders struggled offensively, putting up just 13 points despite the Dolphins committing multiple turnovers. Meyers hasn’t had a double-digit fantasy game since October 22nd against the Bears and with Aiden O’Connell struggling, it’s hard to imagine Meyers regaining the fantasy value he had earlier this season. On top of that, the Chiefs rank fourth in aFPA to opposing wide receivers this year. Tough matchup and a downward trend for this offense makes Meyers a stay-away option for fantasy managers this week.

LV WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Miami Dolphins

Jakobi Meyers caught both of his targets last week against the Jets, finishing with 21 yards receiving on the day. Meyers has been productive at times this year but has been super inconsistent overall. Time will tell if he can get back to being a solid fantasy option with Aiden O’Connell at the helm.

This week, Meyers has what looks like a nice matchup against a Miami defense that ranks 22nd in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. The Dolphins have a healthier secondary than they’ve had all season, however, so that number may improve over the second half. Still, Meyers is getting enough targets to be fantasy-viable, if not a little volatile. We have him ranked as a low-end WR3 option in a game where the Raiders are expected to be trailing.

LV WR Jakobi Meyers - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. New York Jets

Jakobi Meyers caught two balls and ran the ball once for a total of 55 scrimmage yards against the Giants last week as the Raiders ran their way to a lopsided victory. He’s had two bad games in a row now as the Las Vegas passing attack has really struggled.

Meyers has a tough matchup this week against a Jets defense that ranks first in the league in aFPA to opposing wide receivers. Meyers is still worth rostering, as there is still upside for rookie Aiden O’Connell to improve as a passer with more reps, but it’s risky to trust him in a fantasy lineup. We have him ranked as a low-end WR3 option this week.
