Scouting report

PHI WR Greg Ward - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at San Francisco
Well, it didn't take long for Greg Ward to become the No. 1 receiver again. The former quarterback gets that role because of injuries again to the Eagles wide receiving corps. Ward has made himself a solid NFL receiver and he will get plenty of looks from QB Carson Wentz.

Ward has a tough matchup against the Niners who are ranked 9th in aFPA to wide receivers. With Wentz struggling, it is hard to be optimistic about any Eagle receiver.

It's a good story, but Ward's role is by default and we don't see him excelling as the best receiver for the Eagles. Keep him on the bench and the waiver wire for Week 4.

PHI WR Greg Ward - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at New York Giants
Greg Ward had another solid game with four catches for 71 yards. He now has 11 receptions for 131 yards over the past two games. He has stepped into the No. 1 receiver role nicely for Philly.

Ward will face the Giants on Sunday who are ranked 27th in aFPA to wide receivers. This matchup pushes Ward into your fantasy lineup for Week 17 as a WR3. He could be a nice waiver pickup if still available in your league.

PHI WR Greg Ward - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Dallas
Greg Ward had a breakthrough game last week with seven receptions including the game-winning touchdown reception. He is the best wide receiver the Eagles have right now even though nobody has ever heard of him.

Ward faces the Cowboys who are 14th in aFPA to wide receivers. He will be a target this week, but not enough to consider giving a start. Keep Ward on the bench and waiver wire this week as the running backs and tight ends will get most of the attention.

PHI WR Greg Ward - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs Washington
Greg Ward has stepped into the No. 1 wide receiver spot for the Eagles by default. Alshon Jeffery joins Deshaun Jackson on the IR. Nelson Agholor is also out. Ward has 11 receptions over the past three games, but really has not made a big splash.

The Redskins are ranked first in aFPA to wide receivers so that doesn't bode well for Ward or any of the Eagles receivers. Keep Ward on the waiver wire for Week 15. This passing game will be driven by the tight ends and running backs.
