IND QB Gardner Minshew - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Gardner Minshew struggled last week, throwing for just 201 yards and a pick in a lopsided loss to the Falcons. Minshew had two games with multiple touchdown passes in his previous three outings, and fantasy managers have to kind of take the good with the bad when they roll the dice on the mercurial gunslinger. Such is life with regular streaming options at quarterback.

Minshew will try to get back on track against a surging Las Vegas defense that ranks 16th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks, but the Raiders have been playing pretty well defensively. They just stymied Patrick Mahomes on Monday, and are playing with more fire than you’d expect from a team without playoff aspirations. Tread carefully with Minshew, and consider him a low-end QB2 option or a risky streamer.

IND QB Gardner Minshew - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Atlanta Falcons

Gardner Minshew had a nice game in the victory over Pittsburgh last week, tossing three touchdowns and no interceptions in a lopsided game. Minshew now has six touchdowns to one interception over his last three games, combined, and has the Colts right in the middle of the playoff race. They’re in a three-way tie for the division lead.

This week, Minshew has a nice matchup against a mercurial Atlanta defense that ranks 27th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. Minshew should continue to be a viable streaming option, and we have him ranked as a QB2.

IND QB Gardner Minshew - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Gardner Minshew had a pedestrian 240 yards, a touchdown, and a pick against the Bengals last week as the Colts suffered a disappointing and lopsided loss. Still, Minshew and the Colts are just a game back from the first-place Jaguars in the AFC South, and they’ll continue fighting as we close out the regular season.

This week, Minshew faces a Pittsburgh defense that ranks ninth in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. Consider him a risky streaming option in a difficult matchup this week. Minshew is super volatile, so he might come up with a gem, despite the defense he’s facing. However, there should be better streaming options available to you this week.

IND QB Gardner Minshew - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Cincinnati Bengals

Gardner Minshew had a nice game against the Titans last week, throwing for 312 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a thrilling overtime victory. Minshew now has the Colts sitting at 7-5 and in position to make a postseason push. The Colts are making use of their weapons, despite losing Jonathan Taylor last week to injury, and Minshew continues to provide streaming value in fantasy leagues.

This week, Minshew faces a Cincinnati defense that ranks 19th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. Minshew should once again be one of the primary streaming options for fantasy managers needing help at the position. There’ve been plenty of injuries lately, so be sure to pick him up. We have him ranked just outside QB1 territory.

IND QB Gardner Minshew - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Tennessee Titans

Gardner Minshew threw for 251 yards and a pick in a win over the Buccaneers last week. He turned in a solid fantasy day thanks to a rushing touchdown, but he’s been a volatile option for streamers all season. Minshew completed just 58.5% of his passes against a vulnerable secondary, and his seven interceptions in the last six games are concerning.

This week, Minshew faces a Tennessee defense that ranks 21st in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. It’s another nice matchup for the gutsy veteran, so fantasy managers can consider him a viable streaming option for the second week in a row. The Colts are battling for a playoff spot, so expect them to play hard.

IND QB Gardner Minshew - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Gardner Minshew struggled against the Patriots before the bye last week, throwing for 194 yards and an interception in a low-scoring victory. The Colts have struggled offensively, and Minshew only has two games this season with multiple touchdowns thrown. He has eight touchdown passes - plus two rushing - and six interceptions as he tries to keep the Colts in the playoff race.

This week, Minshew has a great matchup against a Tampa Bay defense that ranks 26th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. Minshew has been wildly inconsistent, but he had a QB3 finish back in Week 7 and has enough weapons around him to make him an interesting streaming option this week in a nice matchup.

IND QB Gardner Minshew - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. New England Patriots (Germany)

Gardner Minshew had a quiet fantasy day last week against the Panthers, throwing for a modest 127 yard and a touchdown in an easy victory for the Colts. Minshew threw the ball just 26 times, but completed 65.4% of his passes, an improvement over a tough Week 8 outing against the Saints.

Minshew has a tough matchup this week against a New England defense that ranks ninth in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. He’s had some nice games against tough defenses and continues to be an inconsistent streaming option for fantasy managers. We have him ranked as a solid QB2 option in SuperFlex leagues this week.
