Fry lasted a total of five days on the Ravens. He effectively came in to give Justin Tucker the night off. Fry did kick a 48-yard field goal in the preseason finale against the Redskins. Fry may not have much trouble finding another landing spot, even with final cuts coming this weekend. Fry went three-of-four in field goal attempts in three games this preseason between the Ravens and Bears, with two kicks over 40 yards.
Head coach Matt Nagy announced on Sunday that the team has waived Elliott Fry off of their 90-man roster. Fry missed a field goal against the Giants on Friday night, but made the three other kicks he’s tried this offseason.
The move leaves Eddy Pineiro as the only kicker currently on hand, but Nagy made it clear that Fry’s departure doesn’t mean Pineiro will be the kicker against the Packers on September 5.
The story said the Bears tried to trade for Kaare Vedvik from the Ravens before he was sent to the Vikings, so the team is certainly keeping an eye on the kicking situation.
