Scouting report

PIT WR Eli Rogers - Week 13, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Giants
Rogers had just two receptions last week, but they went for 36 yards and were on his only two targets of the game. The Steelers will throw the ball more this week, but don't be surprised to see Sammie Coates worked back into the equation as the No. 2 target. He had three targets last week. Rogers will get some looks, but shouldn't be used as anything more than a flex.

PIT WR Eli Rogers - Week 12, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Indianapolis
Rogers caught four of the five passes thrown his way last week but for just 20 yards. He's the move-the-chains target in the Steelers offense and should see a decent amount of work in that capacity this week. But he and Ben Roethlisberger have missed on some deeper passes in each of the past two games. Rogers is a risky play, however, as anything more than a flex option.

PIT WR Eli Rogers - Week 11, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Cleveland
Rogers followed up his first 100-yard game in Week 9 with a 4-42-1 line, which isn't terrible but might not have been what his owners were looking for. The touchdown, his second this season, sure helped. It is expected to be windy in Cleveland Sunday, which could mean more of a short passing game. That would benefit Rogers directly, at least when the Steelers are going into the wind. He should be a decent No. 3 receiver or flex play in all formats against a soft Cleveland defense.

PIT WR Eli Rogers - Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Dallas
Rogers didn't have a target through three quarters last week in Baltimore and finished with six receptions for 103 yards on 10 targets. Now that Ben Roethlisberger has remembered that the second-year receiver can be a factor, look for him to continue to see at least five or six targets. That should make him playable as a flex in PPR leagues.

PIT WR Eli Rogers - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. New England
Rogers had four receptions for 35 yards last week in Miami and could be an even bigger weapon this week with Landry Jones at QB with Ben Roethlisberger out. Rogers could be targeted quite a bit working in the slot. That might make him worth a flex play in PPR leagues, but it's a stretch.

PIT WR Eli Rogers - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Miami
Look for Rogers to return to action this week and be used in the slot for the Steelers. Given the other weapons in the offense, he's useful as a flex play with upside, especially in PPR leagues.

PIT WR Eli Rogers - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Philadelphia
Ben Roethlisberger lamented the fact he got the ball to Rogers just one time last week at Cincinnati. That won't happen again as the Steelers like the speedy receiver in the slot. Markus Wheaton will return this week, but that will likely eat into Sammie Coates' snaps more than Rogers. Rogers is a decent flex play, especially in PPR leagues.
