Their status for Week 3 is up in the air but it will be a tough matchup at the Vikings. If Jacobs can't go, Richard and
Washington would see an increase in work at RB. If Williams can't go, Renfrow probably becomes the WR1 with guys like Grant, Harris and Nelson having to be the next men up. TE Darren Waller would probably see more work as well if Williams can't go.
It doesn't look like Whalen is going to be ready for Week 1 against the Rams. Gehlken added Whalen could be a candidate for injury settlement. The Raiders just traded Ryan Switzer to the Steelers and Whalen was among those battling for the slot receiver job.
Harris has a fractured foot. Pretty much buried on the depth chart, it's only fantasy noteworthy because of all the Giant injuries at the position. The team likely will be without Beckham, Marshall and Shepard heading into Week 6 leaving Lewis and King as the team's top-two the way it stands today.
The Giants are down a couple of wide receivers in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
Sterling Shepard left with a left ankle injury and Brandon Marshall followed with a left ankle injury of his own a couple of plays later. Marshall has been taken back to the locker room on a cart while Shepard remains on the sideline getting attention from the team’s medical staff.
The Marshall injury appeared to be much more serious, which at some point could give Shepard perhaps a more significant role if Marshall would have to miss time. However, Shepard was been ruled out for the day as well, as was Harris.
