Scouting report

SEA WR Doug Baldwin - Week 18 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 18 at Dallas Cowboys

Doug Baldwin has come on in recent weeks. He could be a factor in the playoffs, especially scoring touchdowns. He has been the target in the end zone late in the season. The biggest issue is that Seattle's other receiver Tyler Lockett can be the major target for Seattle.

The Cowboys pass defense has been tough in 2018, ranked 8th in aFPA to wide receivers. Baldwin is a decent play for Week 18, but there are some better options including Lockett.

SEA WR Doug Baldwin - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Arizona Cardinals

Doug Baldwin seems to be healthy and that's good news for Seattle. He had seven receptions for 126 yards last week and added a touchdown as well. The big games haven't been there much this year, but he is still capable each week of exploding in the passing game.

Baldwin will face the Cardinals who are 24th in aFPA to wide receivers. He had five catches in the first meeting and he should at least match that. Start Baldwin as a solid WR2 for Week 17.

SEA WR Doug Baldwin - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

After being out Week 14, Doug Baldwin bounced back nicely with four receptions for 77 yards and two touchdowns. The two scores doubled his total for the season. Baldwin has been hampered by injuries all season but seems to be in better shape for Week 16.

The 'Hawks face KC who is 21st in aFPA to wide receivers so there should be more opportunities for the passing game and Baldwin should benefit. Start him for Week 16 as a low-end WR2 against the Chiefs.

SEA WR Doug Baldwin - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Doug Baldwin has been targeted 21 times in the last three games and seems to be slowly climbing back into that position as Russell Wilson's favorite target. Although the results don't always bear that out. He only had two catches for 22 yards last week, but did score his second TD in the last three games.

Baldwin will face the Vikings who are sixth in aFPA to wide receivers. We are encouraged by the targets Baldwin is getting so that is enough, even with a tough matchup, to start Baldwin in Week 14 as a WR or flex.

SEA WR Doug Baldwin - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. San Francisco 49ers

Since his return from injury, Doug Baldwin has taken a backseat to Tyler Lockett and really has not put up expected numbers. Last week, he had five receptions for 39 yards. He still only has one touchdown in 2018.

Baldwin will face the 49ers, the 16th in aFPA to wide receivers. He has only had two games with over 60 receiving yards in his career against San Francisco in 14 games. Baldwin is still getting enough attention in the passing game and should be in your lineup as a solid WR3 or flex for Week 13.

SEA WR Doug Baldwin - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Carolina Panthers

Doug Baldwin had seven receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown last week against the Packers. It was his first touchdown of the season and he has been fighting to get healthy. Baldwin has not practiced this week so keep an eye on the injury report on Sunday.

If he does play, he will face Carolina who is 16th in aFPA to wide receivers. Baldwin's health has been an issue all season which is why Tyler Lockett has been more reliable. Start Baldwin as a high-end WR3 or flex for Week 12 as long as he plays.

SEA WR Doug Baldwin - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Green Bay Packers

Doug Baldwin seems to be close to 100 percent healthy after missing two games. The numbers aren't quite there yet, but the eye test sees progress. Baldwin had five receptions for 39 yards against the Rams, but the biggest concern is the lack of targets in recent weeks. QB Russell Wilson seems to be favoring his running backs and tight ends in the last several games.

The Packers are up next and are 29th in aFPA to wide receivers. A good matchup for Baldwin puts him in play for Week 11. Start him as a WR3 or flex against Green Bay and hope Wilson returns to throwing the ball more to the veteran wide receiver.
