JAX RB Denard Robinson - Week 17, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Houston
Though he managed just 20 yards on six carries - one more carry than Jonas Gray - Robinson remains a factor in the passing game. He caught five passes for 51 yards and now has 13 receptions in the past two weeks subbing for T.J. Yeldon. If you absolutely must play a Jacksonville back this week, make it Robinson because of his work in the passing game. But I wouldn't do so as anything more than a flex option.

JAX RB Denard Robinson - Week 16, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at New Orleans
Subbing for an injured T.J. Yeldon last week, Robinson didn't do much on the ground, managing just 28 yards on 14 carries. But he was good in PPR leagues, catching eight passes for 46 yards. Yeldon is still wearing a knee brace, so despite a mildly sprained foot, Robinson appears to be in line to be the main ball carrier for the Jaguars again. That's good news against a New Orleans defense that stinks both by land and through the air, ranking dead last in both areas.

JAX RB Denard Robinson - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Atlanta
With T.J. Yeldon likely out with a knee injury, Robinson should get the bulk of the carries this week. He showed himself capable last week by gaining 75 yards and a score on 17 carries after Yeldon went out. Atlanta has given up a league-worst 15 touchdown runs this season, so Robinson should be a nice sleeper start this week as a solid No. 2 option with No. 1 upside.

Week 7 vs. Buffalo
With T.Y. Yeldon sidelined, Robinson turned 10 touches - seven carries, three receptions - into 38 yards last week. Yeldon could be out again this week, but sharing time with Toby Gerhart, Robinson has little value against a tough Buffalo run defense.

Week 6 vs. Houston
Robinson is expected to return this week after sitting out the better part of a month with a knee injury. If T.J. Yeldon doesn't play this week with a groin injury, look for Robinson to pick up the slack. Houston has given up five rushing TDs to opposing backs in the past two weeks. Robinson could be a nice sleeper pick this week.

Week 1 vs. Carolina
With rookie T.J. Yeldon taking the lead back role for the Jaguars, look for Robinson to be used as a third-down back. The role will offer him some chances to makes some plays after the catch, but not enough to be a fantasy factor.
