Scouting report

PHI RB Corey Clement - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Oakland Raiders

The Eagles have an implied team total of 25.25 points this week- respectable, but not elite. Philadelphia is a touchdown favorite at home, which should lead to positive game script. With Darren Sproles re-aggravating his hamstring in practice this week, this will remain a three-man RBBC between Wendell Smallwood, Corey Clement and Josh Adams. Here's how those touches have played out in the last three weeks working backward: Smallwood 10, 11, 19; Clement 5, 10, 14; Adams 10, 4, 0. None of these RBs are an attractive Week 10 play due to the split in volume.

PHI RB Corey Clement - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Jacksonville Jaguars (London)

The Eagles split backfield touches last week three ways between Wendell Smallwood (11), Corey Clement (10) and Josh Adams (4). The Jaguars present a top ten test in terms of aFPA to RBs. Plus, this game has the second lowest over/under on the Week 8 slate. The ceiling appears capped for each of these backs, with the only chance at useful fantasy production coming in the form of picking the one that falls into a touchdown. And that was not necessarily Clement near the goal line last week. So this is a full-blown RBBC guessing game.

PHI RB Corey Clement - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Carolina Panthers

In Corey Clement’s first game back from his quad injury, he was out-touched 19-to-14 by Wendell Smallwood, but ended up outscoring Smallwood, as Clement took over Jay Ajayi's role near the goal line and added some production through the air. It's possible the Eagles were easing Clement into Week 6 since he was coming off an injury. In Week 3 with Ajayi out, Clement out-touched Smallwood 19-to-13. This will continue to be a committee, but Clement is the lead fantasy option in Week 7 against a Panthers defense allowing more than five yards per carry to running backs. Consider Clement an RB2 in Week 7.

PHI RB Corey Clement - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New York Giants (Thursday)

Going on the road for Thursday Night Football is always a tough ask. The game having the fifth lowest over/under in Vegas this week isn't promising, but Jay Ajayi going on IR with a torn ACL should mean a 2-man RBBC between Clement and Wendell Smallwood. Clement is the bigger back, and the favorite to assume red zone / goal line duties, per various beat reporters. Consider him a FLEX in a risky RBBC for Thursday night, as he returns from a quad injury.

PHI RB Corey Clement - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Tennessee Titans

This game has the third-lowest total on the week, implying a low-scoring game. Jay Ajayi is battling a back issue but turned in a full practice Thursday after missing Wednesday. He should be fine for Week 4, meaning Clement will see less volume than last week. He's likely not going to be a high-volume option. Against a top-10 defense in aFPA to RBs, Clement will have to find the end zone to return flex value in Week 4.

PHI RB Corey Clement - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Philadelphia has an attractive 27-point implied team total this week, which should lead to positive game script for the running backs. The Colts are also just 25th in PPR points allowed to the running back position through two weeks. With Darren Sproles out last week, Clement out-touched Jay Ajayi 11 to 8, with Wendell Smallwood also chipping in eight touches. This is always going to be a running back by committee in Philly, but monitor the injury reports. Ajayi and Sproles both missed practice Wednesday and Thursday. If both are ruled out, Clement becomes an RB2 with volume upside this week in a plus matchup.

PHI RB Corey Clement - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Doug Pederson continues to say Jay Ajayi will receive even more work than the 15 carries he had in Week 1. That's encouraging considering he only played 40 percent of snaps, but it's not encouraging for the rest of this backfield, as there just is not enough volume to go around to warrant fantasy starting consideration. That goes for Clement, too.
