Jaguars RB Chris Thompson has been activated from the reserve-COVID-19 list, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Fantasy Impact:

Thompson missed one week with the virus and will have another to get ready for Week 9. He will return to his role as a pass-catching back and primary backup to James Robinson.

Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone "just spent 5 minutes casting doubt on the idea that James Robinson is his lead back and Chris Thompson is his change-of-pace option," according to Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network. "He said both backs are talented enough to handle any role."

Jaguars RB Devine Ozigbo (hamstring) was removed from the injury report Thursday. He went on IR and the team signed Dare Ogunbowale to fill his spot. It appears that James Robinson will handle most of the carries with Chris Thompson coming in for passing situations.
