Week 17 – Cairo Santos vs. San Diego Chargers
Cairo Santos was Kansas City’s offense in Week 16. Santos kicked four field goals as the Chiefs failed to score a touchdown. At times this year, Santos has posted decent numbers, but overall the Kansas City offense has held him back, as evidenced by the fact 18 kickers are currently outscoring him. Parked in the middle of the ratings this week, there are plenty of better choices out there.

Week 16 – Cairo Santos at Pittsburgh Steelers
Cairo Santos connected on four extra points and a field goal during Kansas City’s 31-13 rout of the Raiders last Sunday. Santos remains a player fantasy owners largely need to ignore, because Kansas City’s conservative offense keeps him from posting big numbers on a regular basis.

Cairo Santos contributed two extra points in Week 14 and did not attempt any field goals. Normally, Kansas City’s no-frills offense holds him back from generating serious points. However, this weekend’s matchup against an Oakland squad potentially due for a letdown after a shocking victory over San Francisco might help Santos have a bigger game than usual. As a result, he is higher in our rankings than he normally is and could be a spot starter if for some reason you are searching for a kicker.

Cairo Santos kicked one extra point and one field goal in Kansas City’s 29-16 loss to Denver. With the Chiefs having a low-powered offense and an unfavorable matchup against an Arizona team eager to get back on track following a pair of losses, Santos has no chance of emerging as a waiver wire hero.

Week 13 – Cairo Santos vs. Denver Broncos

One of the few players for Kansas City who did not disappoint in their unexpected loss to Oakland was Cairo Santos, who accurately nailed a pair of field goals and two extra points. Santos has delivered good production for the Chiefs at a lower price than departed Ryan Succop, but Kansas City’s offense rarely finds enough of a groove for Santos to be of much use to fantasy teams.

Cairo Santos drilled three extra points and a field goal in Kansas City’s gritty 24-20 win over Seattle. While the matchup is better this week, the overall nature of the Chiefs offense does not typically yield big returns for Santos. In the middle of the rankings, Cairo can see the pyramids of prosperity, but since his journey will be stopped short before he reaches them, fantasy owners need to explore a different path.
