Scouting report

PHI WR A.J. Brown - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Dallas Cowboys
A.J. Brown set an NFL record with his fifth straight game with 125+ receiving yards. The Eagles offense has been playing well and Brown has been a huge beneficiary. Philly's No. 1 receiver and QB Jalen Hurts have been on the same page and it has shown up on the stat sheet.

Brown faces the Cowboys who are ranked sixth in aFPA to wide receivers, but throw that out the window. He has done well against all defenses. Last season in the two meetings against Dallas, Brown has 11 receptions for 170 yards and a touchdown.

Start Brown as a top-five fantasy wide receiver. Until someone actually shuts him down, keep riding him with high expectations.

PHI WR A.J. Brown - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Washington Commanders
Five straight 100+ receiving yard games in a row for A.J. Brown and last week, he had season-highs in targets and receptions. He also scored his third touchdown of the season. After Tyreek Hill, Brown has been the best fantasy wide receiver to date and we expect his numbers to keep trending in the right direction.

Brown faces the Commanders who are ranked 31st in aFPA to wide receivers. He had nine receptions for 131 yards and two touchdowns in the first meeting with Washington.

With a favorable matchup and an Eagles offense that is heating up, expect another big game from Brown. Start him as a top-five fantasy wide receiver for Week 8.

PHI WR A.J. Brown - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Miami Dolphins
A.J. Brown is on fire as he recorded his fourth straight 100+ receiving yards game. He continues to be QB Jalen Hurts favorite target and even though he hasn't been scoring a lot of touchdowns, the rest of his fantasy numbers are some of the best in the NFL.

Brown faces Miami who is ranked 18th in aFPA to wide receivers. The Eagles expect a high-scoring offensive shootout so the fantasy numbers should be high all around.

Start Brown as a top five fantasy wide receiver for Week 7. He should be around seven catches and should eclipse 100 receiving yards for the fifth straight week.

PHI WR A.J. Brown - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New York Jets
It's now been three straight 100+ receiving yard games for A.J. Brown. It seems him and QB Jalen Hurts are on the same page after a rough start to the season. Brown has played like a No. 1 receiver although he only has two touchdowns this season.

The Eagles passing game will face the Jets who are ranked 2nd in aFPA to wide receivers. It won't be easy for Philly this week. But we still expect a good fantasy performance for the Birds.

Start Brown as a solid WR1 for Week 6. It might be tough to get over that 100-yard mark on Sunday, but his numbers will still be good enough to be a top-10 fantasy receiver.

PHI WR A.J. Brown - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Los Angeles Rams
A.J. Brown has back-to-back 100+ receiving yard games and now has three games where he has had double-digit targets. Last week, he had nine receptions for 175 yards and his first two touchdowns of the season. Brown has been on fire for Philly.

Brown will face the Rams who are ranked 8th in aFPA to wide receivers. It will be tougher this week against a good LA defense and a trip to the West Coast. The Eagles passing game has been getting better each week so it should be a good matchup.

Start Brown as a solid WR1 for Week 5. We expect some good fantasy numbers even if it doesn't match the success of the last two weeks.

PHI WR A.J. Brown - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Washington Commanders
After a frustrating game Week 3, A.J. Brown had season-highs in targets (15), receptions (9) and receiving yards (131). He didn't score a touchdown, but it was good to see Brown and QB Jalen Hurts on the same page.

Next up is the Commanders who are ranked 21st in aFPA to wide receivers. Brown had mixed results against Washington last season. He caught five passes for 85 yards and a TD in the first meeting. But was held to one catch for seven yards later in the season.

Brown definitely got his game going and we expect that to continue. Start him as a WR1 for Week 4. He should have 6-7 receptions and be over the 75 receiving yard mark.

PHI WR A.J. Brown - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
It was a quiet game for A.J. Brown against the Vikings. After 10 targets in Week 1, he was down to seven targets which produced six receptions for 29 yards and a temper tantrum on the sidelines with QB Jalen Hurts. We don't expect that to affect anything, but file that away if Brown has more outings like that.

It's a great matchup for the Eagles passing game against the Buccaneers who are ranked 29th in aFPA to wide receivers. Expect double-digit targets and a bounce back to his normal form.

Start Brown as a solid WR1 for Week 3. The Eagles passing game should have a big day and Hurts will make an effort to get Brown involved early and often.
