During a Tuesday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Aaron Rodgers said that he would be pushing to play if he was 100 percent but that he has not reached that point in his recovery from a torn Achilles.

Fantasy Impact:

Rodgers intimated that there would be a conversation about playing without reaching that point if the Jets were still alive, but they were officially eliminated from playoff contention last Sunday and Rodgers has shifted his attention toward the future. Rodgers added that he can also see himself playing for the Jets beyond the 2024 season.

If and when he comes out of concussion protocol, Robert Saleh said Zach Wilson be the team's starting QB.

Saleh tells reporters Wilson could start if he doesn't practice, which could be the case depending on when he would get cleared from concussion protocol. The post went on to say if Wilson doesn't pass protocol, Siemian will start. There continues to be rumors Rodgers will get cleared to play, but reports have surfaced that those in the organization see no reason to put Rodgers on the field this season.

Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is likely to be medically cleared to play next week.

Fantasy Impact:

Schefter notes that being cleared to play doesn't necessarily mean Rodgers will play in Week 16 against the Washington Commanders. The team and Rodgers will discuss him playing. The Jets opened Rodgers' 21-day practice window on November 29. They have until December 20 to activate him to the 53-man roster, otherwise, he is out for the season.

If the Jets beat the Dolphins Sunday, there will be a lot of talk of Rodgers making his return Christmas Eve with the Jets still in the playoff hunt.
