Ka’imi Fairbairn’s injury is inducing the Texans to make a move at kicker.

Fairbairn is set to miss at least a week with the quad injury he suffered during the first half of Sunday’s victory over the Buccaneers, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC. He may miss more time.

To offset losing Fairbairn, the club will sign Matt Ammendola to the practice squad, Wilson reports.

Fairbairn has hit 18-of-19 field goals this season, with the only miss coming from her 50 yards. He’s also hit 14-of-14 extra points.

Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn was ruled out of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers with a quad injury.

Backup running back Dare Ogunbowale is now handling kickoff duties. The Texans scored in the third quarter and went for two, a likely signal of what's to come, at least in the immediate future. Ogunbowale's first kickoff went to about the 5 and was returned to around the 30.

Daniel Carlson (right groin) is listed as questionable and figures to be a game-time decision.

The Raiders promoted kicker James McCourt from the practice squad for tonight’s game against the Lions, Pelissero went on to say in his post. Those needing Carlson to get them a couple of points for a victory tonight will want to check on Carlson's status before the game starts.

A new kicker in LA: Rams are planning to sign former Colts kicker Lucas Havrisik off the Browns’ practice squad, per sources.

Earlier today, the Rams released Brett Maher, who missed two field goals and an extra point in Week 7 against the Steelers.

The Jets added kicker Austin Seibert after ruling out Greg Zuerlein for Week 2 with a groin injury.

Zuerlein was initially listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. He is now officially not going to play in Week 2. Seibert will kick for the Jets against the Cowboys. Seibert appeared in three games last season for the Lions and went 4/5 on field goals and 12/12 on extra points. He is a career 80% field goal kicker (44/55) and a 90% extra-point kicker (55/61). That includes a perfect 25/25 on field goals within 40 yards.

Another kicker trade. The Patriots are trading Nick Folk to the Titans, sources say.
