Seahawks WR DK Metcalf is officially inactive against the Cardinals.

Metcalf was a true game-time decision with hip and rib injuries and it looks like the injuries are holding him back too much for him to play. As a result, Tyler Lockett is now a strong start and Jaxon Smith-Njigba makes for an interesting flex option as well, especially for those with a bunch of options on a bye this week.

Browns QB Deshaun Watson was checked for a concussion and eventually cleared.

Watson left the game in the first quarter for what was initially thought to be a shoulder injury but the press box later reported he was being checked for a concussion. Watson went to the medical tent. P.J. Walker, who started last week and was elevated from the practice squad again this week, has taken over behind center. There is no word on why Watson is not yet back in the game, despite being cleared.

Bears quarterback Justin Fields has a chance to return to action in Week 8.

Fields will miss Sunday’s game against the Raiders with a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand. The Bears have not placed him on injured reserve. He is reportedly already regaining grip strength. There is a chance he could play Week 8 against the Chargers. For Week 7 against the Raiders, it will be rookie free agent Tyson Bagent getting the start.

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is on track to play Sunday against the Colts.

Watson will go through a warmup test in pregame but the signs are starting to look good that he will be back under center for Cleveland. But just in case, the Browns did elevate P.J. Walker from the practice squad again. Watson gives the offense a boost and would be a solid QB2 if he plays. Walker would be a borderline QB2 on a week like this with so many teams off. Make sure to check the inactives to see for sure if Watson is able to go.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) is out for Monday's game against the Vikings and at least another game while RB Christian McCaffrey (oblique) is questionable.

Samuel has a hairline fracture. He will miss at least the next two games against the Vikings and Bengals. The 49ers have their bye in Week 9 so Samuel could potentially return in Week 10 against the Jaguars. McCaffrey, on the other hand, was able to practice in a limited setting Saturday, his first practice of the week. Maybe that's a good sign of him playing, but it feels like a true 50/50. Jordan Mason and Elijah Mitchell are behind McCaffrey. The 49ers will also likely be without star left tackle Trent Williams, as he is listed as doubtful with an ankle injury.

Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve for the second time this season.

Dulcich, a popular sleeper pick at the position this season, missed the first four games of the season from his first stint on IR and then suffered another hamstring injury in Week 6 against the Chiefs. He will now miss another four games, which will mark (at least) 15 games missed in his first two seasons -- Dulcich missed seven games as a rookie with a hamstring injury. Adam Trautman is the main tight end now in Denver, but with the offense a mess, Trautman isn't close to being worth a start. The Broncos also signed WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey to the practice squad and immediately elevated him for Sunday's game against the Packers.
