Tribune Review - [Full Article]

Wide receiver Demarcus Ayers, a seventh-round draft pick, thought he was on the verge of a promotion to the 53-man roster two weeks ago. Then, an abdominal injury to kicker Chris Boswell forced the Steelers to sign Randy Bullock, and Ayers had to wait.

With Boswell healthy again, the Steelers promoted Ayers from the practice squad Monday and released Bullock.

Coach Mike Tomlin said Ayers was promoted because “we've been leaking a little bit at the wide receiver position.”

Fantasy Impact:

Darrius Heyward-Bey remains sidelined with a foot sprain, and Sammie Coates' playing time has been limited by two broken fingers. Ayers gives the Steelers four healthy wide receivers.
