By the way Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles ran and cut and carried the load (again) on Sunday, it might have been easy for the casual observer to overlook the quiet pain he was playing through.
The blisters on his toes that plagued him a week ago were still present in the Chiefs' 26-17 win over the Titans, despite the considerable amount of time he apparently spent soaking them this week in a wide variety of concoctions.
Yet Charles again toughed it out, rushing for a season-high 108 yards on 22 carries while also catching five passes for 37 yards.
Charles said he soaked his feet all week and is going to continue to do that between games. It doesn't appear that the blisters will keep him from playing - at least right now. But it's something for owners to be aware of.
