Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis hopes he can play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings after the latest MRI on his ailing groin showed no new damage.

"Hopefully, the swelling [will] go down," Portis said yesterday on his weekly radio show on 106.7 The Fan. "The MRI didn't reveal anything new, so that was a great thing. That was great news. Right now, [I'm] dealing with swelling, and hopefully that [will] go down."
