Vikes RB Adrian Peterson officially activated

Adrian Peterson is back on the active roster, making him immediately available to play against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Vikings announced Peterson’s status upgrade Saturday. Defensive tackle Toby Johnson was waived to make room for Peterson.

Related players: Jerick McKinnon, Matt Asiata

Fantasy Impact:

Peterson was aiming for a return Dec. 24 against the Green Bay Packers, but after three practices this week, he declared he was “ready to roll.” The story said he plans to wear a knee brace, but it isn’t clear how much Peterson will play. We don't think Peterson is likely to jump into a full workload, but it's hard to imagine the team not using him in the red zone which makes him an upgrade over any of their other options at RB.
