Buccaneers WR Mike Evans and Saints CB Marshon Lattimore were ejected from Sunday's game for fighting.

The scuffle began after Leonard Fournette went after Lattimore who jarred a bit with Tom Brady. Evans came sprinting from the sideline and shoved Lattimore to the ground and the teams all met in the middle of the field as the refs tried to take control. Both Evans and Lattimore were sent to the locker room and given offsetting penalties. The Bucs will now rely heavily on Scotty Miller and Russell Gage, who have both stepped up very well thus far today, though the Bucs only have three points on the board.

WRs Chris Godwin and Julio Jones were not at practice, along with OT Donovan Smith. While Jones may simply be receiving a veteran day off, Godwin will likely miss at least one more week, opening the door for more Russell Gage opportunities.

Gage only ran 18 routes in Week 1, but Godwin was heavily involved in the rotation before suffering another injury. The pecking order behind Mike Evans is still up in the air, but the ceiling outcome is there for Gage against the Saints on Sunday, making him an interesting Flex play.

Leonard Fournette was at practice, seemed fine. A lot of you asked about him, but I think Rachaad White playing at the end of the game was more about the score and getting him more NFL snaps.

Fournette is on the injury report as being limited with a hamstring and many said they saw him pull up a little on his last carry before White came into the game for good. We'll have to see how this pans out for the rest of the week. If anything, it's perhaps a good reminder to pickup White, especially if you're a Fournette owner.

I asked Todd Bowles today if he had any injury concerns at receiver other than Chris Godwin, and he said he did not. Keep that in mind when reading Bucs’ injury report.

Godwin is of course dealing with a hamstring issue and doesn't seem likely to play. But now Jones is dealing with a knee issue and Gage a hamstring as well. Evans, we reported today, had his calf wrapped. This is a situation to watch heading into Week 2.

Following up on this...it’s a calf injury for Mike Evans.

Laine went on to tweet it sounds relatively minor for Evans. The Bucs are already expected to be without Chris Godwin so Julio Jones and Russell Gage could be factors in Week 2 if Evans is limited in any way.

The Bucs said Godwin's hamstring injury wasn't as serious as first thought, but the team never put a specific timetable on his return. Reports say he's likely going to be out for Week 2, but the good news he didn't reinjure his ACL. The Bucs will go with Evans, Jones and Gage as their top-three WRs for Week 2.

HC Todd Bowles also said he does not believe Pro Bowl wide receiver Chris Godwin's hamstring injury -- which he suffered in the second quarter -- is "as serious as we thought it was."

Bowles added the team will see how things go with some treatment this week. It was Godwin's first game back since recovering from a torn ACL and MCL, which he suffered Dec. 19 last season, and undergoing surgery Jan. 3. He was originally expected to miss time, with indications suggesting multiple weeks. It may still be unfair to expect Godwin to play in Week 2, especially given the scare and coming off an ACL injury, but it sounds like he could be back sooner than later at this point.

Chris Godwin suffered a hamstring strain during Sunday Night Football, but it would seem that his reconstructed knee came out of the game fine.

Those willing to play Godwin in Week 1 were stuck with a 3-35-0 line while both teammates Mike Evans and Julio Jones had at least 69 yards, with the former finding the end zone. The Buccaneers were able to cruise to a win on SNF as the Cowboys only scored three points, but matchups in the next few weeks —namely, the Packers in Week 3 and Chiefs in Week 4— could provide some firepower for the ancillary pieces of Godwin is still sidelined.

Godwin was able to play after being questionable as still wasn’t 100 percent from his ACL injury. Now he has a hamstring injury on top of that that he suffered in the first half. Godwin had 35 yards on three catches.
