Zach Wilson -- benched in each of the past two seasons, most recently in late November in favor of Tim Boyle, who was released yesterday -- has been named the Jets' starting quarterback for Sunday's game vs. the Texans.

Wilson should be avoided in all fantasy formats wherever possible, no matter how deep the league is. Garrett Wilson should receive a small boost, but still remains a WR2.

Tim Boyle, the No. 3 quarterback who became the starter after the Jets benched Zach Wilson, will be released by the Jets, according to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports.

The Jets also will be signing quarterback Brett Rypien from the Seattle practice squad.

There is no update on who the Jets plan to start this week. There are conflicting reports about the team wanting to go back to Wilson but Wilson being reluctant to play. With Boyle out of the picture and Rypien perhaps needing more time to get up to speed, it could mean Siemian gets the nob. We'll likely know more by later in the week, but it probably goes without saying no one is really a good option outside of desperation plays in deeper two-QB or superflex leagues and dynasty leagues.

Robert Saleh says he's not ready to name the Jets' starting QB for Week 14, and going back to Zach Wilson is among the options.

Needless to say, this situation is a bit of a mess. Pelissero shared a post from Andrew Siciliano where Saleh said, "Let's be clear, if [Wilson] were reluctant to play, he wouldn't be here." But from Wilson's standpoint, who could blame him if there was any truth to the story from The Athletic. Be sure to monitor the situation, but whoever is named the starter would only have deeper league, two QB or superflex value.

The Jets want to make a switch at QB. The team is leaning towards Zach Wilson to take over, but he is reluctant to stepping back in.

Russini went on to say the team is discussing the next step to take. With Wilson not wanting to go back in, and the team not seeing much more from Boyle or Siemian this past week, the Jets may need to hit the waiver wire to find their next QB. The Jets sit at 4-8, and while they are still alive, they need to win-out and find a lot of help along the way.

Tim Boyle will start for the Jets on Black Friday against the Dolphins, according to multiple reports.

Boyle relieved Wilson this past week but went 7-for-14 for 33 yards and an INT against the Bills. The Jets are hoping any kind of spark can keep them alive long enough to get Aaron Rodgers back this season. Boyle saw one game last year going 2-for-8 for 33 yards with two INTs for the Bears in Week 18. In 2021, Boyle got some time with the Lions starting three games but losing all three. He threw for three TDs in those contests but also had six INTs. For now, Boyle should only be considered it deeper leagues that start two QBs.

Aaron Rodgers’ goal is to return in mid-December, he told Melissa Stark.

This would be an incredible recovery and in time for a possible playoff push for the Jets, Garafolo's post went on to say. Rodgers has been hinting at a return for a while, but this will obviously depend on the Jets being in the playoff picture. The Jets are currently 4-5 on the season and are certainly still alive. They are a game out of the Wild Card, not getting into all the possible tiebreakers. Currently the Texans are 5-4 and in the final of three Wild Card spots. The Jets will play the Bills, Dolphins, Falcons and Texans up to Dec. 10.

The Broncos are back from their bye and head coach Sean Payton has his eyes on upping the contributions of one member of the offense.

Payton is focused on getting the ball to Marvin Mims more often in the second half of the year.

“How do we get Marvin more touches and how do we incorporate him more into what we’re going offensively?’’ Payton said, via Mike Klis of KUSA. “I’m sitting here looking at a notepad with his jersey number on it in front of me. And that’s our job as coaches. We really believe we have a good, young, talented player."

Mims had nine catches for 242 yards and a touchdown — a 60-yarder in Week 2 — in the first four weeks of the season, but he had just two catches for four yards over the next four games. The second-round pick has also returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown, so it’s not hard to understand why the team wants him more involved the story said.

Browns trade Donovan Peoples-Jones to Detroit for 6th round pick.

Peoples-Jones is just 24 but one can argue moves to a team with a more crowded receiver room than the one he came from. DPJ was the Browns WR3 but hasn't had nearly the impact he had in 2022. It would be tough to see DPJ having that impact on the Lions, however, one can argue there isn't much consistency behind St. Brown. DPJ will at least bring some size to the Lions and could possibly carve out a role in the red zone. As far as Cleveland goes, it could mean the rookie Tillman or Goodwin eventually see more snaps as the team's WR3.

Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve for the second time this season.

Dulcich, a popular sleeper pick at the position this season, missed the first four games of the season from his first stint on IR and then suffered another hamstring injury in Week 6 against the Chiefs. He will now miss another four games, which will mark (at least) 15 games missed in his first two seasons -- Dulcich missed seven games as a rookie with a hamstring injury. Adam Trautman is the main tight end now in Denver, but with the offense a mess, Trautman isn't close to being worth a start. The Broncos also signed WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey to the practice squad and immediately elevated him for Sunday's game against the Packers.

Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) is expected to be activated from IR ahead of tonight's game vs. Chiefs, per James Palmer.

The Broncos' tight end usage has been sad since Dulcich went down with his hamstring injury, missing action since Week 1. Outside of his 2-22 opening day performance, Denver TEs have combined for 12 receptions and a measly 79 yards. Fantasy managers should take a wait-and-see approach for now, but Dulcich could find himself in consideration when he is further removed from his injury.
