Stewart still bothered by soreness in his Achille

Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart was back to his old schedule, held out of practice for a day of rest.
He worked all three days of practice last week, and added 11 carries for 35 yards rushing in Sunday's loss. It was his most extensive work of the year, as prior to last Wednesday, he had only taken part in eight practices all year — dating back to minicamp and OTAs. He's been bothered by soreness in his left Achilles, which he said was a compensation injury from last year's toe problems.
“It wasn't a setback,” coach John Fox said.
“We felt like he needed to take the day off.”
