Steelers, Big Ben disagree on concussion

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on Tuesday said he has successfully cleared the league's concussion protocol, but Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin later said that just isn't true.

Roethlisberger, making his weekly appearance on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, said he suffered a traumatic ocular migraine late in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks. He went on to say he believes he's concussion-free and expects to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

"Ben will be in concussion protocol," Tomlin said. "We will be very diligent in his care."

Fantasy Impact:

Roethlisberger took a hit from Seahawks lineman Michael Bennett that knocked him down and required teammates to help him up. He played the final nine snaps of the drive but did not return to the game. He took himself out according to reports but it's now under investigation. It's at least good news Ben thinks he can play and is symptom free, but he'll obviously at least need to be officially out of protocol for that to happen.
