Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks might not have had his normal burst and explosion, but the positive feeling of being back on the field numbed any pain he might've felt.
Nicks played for the first time since Sept. 16 and finished with three catches for 44 yards.
"I feel good," Nicks said. "I know it will get better as weeks go on. I didn't expect to come out here and be great, great my first game back, but I know it will get better by next week and week after that and it just takes time."
Despite being listed as active, Nicks was a risky play, especially against the 49er defense. He admitted he lacked his normal burst and separation, but that will eventually return. It looks like Nicks will be a go to practice all week after emerging from the game OK to this point.
