Shonn Greene X-Rays negative

It took three games for Shonn Greene to get his first carry as a Jet, and even longer for him to begin to make an impact. But after rushing for over 100 yards and a touchdown in each of the Jets' playoff wins over the Bengals and Chargers, Greene was forced back to the sidelines for much of the second half of Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Colts in the AFC Championship game because of a rib injury.

"I was very, very angry. . . . I just wish I could have been out there to help," Greene said yesterday as the Jets cleaned out their lockers. "Unfortunately, I just couldn't go."

Greene said he took a shot to the ribs, but X-rays showed that none of his ribs were broken. Nevertheless, that small bit of good news wasn't enough to brighten a depressing day.
"Yeah, it's a pretty down day for everybody," Greene said. "We weren't ready to stop playing."
