Seahawks Given Permission To Talk w/ Vincent Jackson

The Seahawks have been granted written permission by the San Diego Chargers to discuss contract terms with holdout Vincent Jackson, Seattle general manager John Schneider said through a team spokesman Friday. Chargers GM A.J. Smith declined to comment on the situation, but the Seahawks said they have talked to Jackson’s agents about the contract compensation that could pave the way for a trade for the wide receiver.

Fantasy Impact:

We don't see this deal getting done any time soon, as Jackson is reportedly asking for more than Brandon Marshall's $46.5 million deal with Miami ($24m in guaranteed money). However, even if Vincent Jackson were to get traded to the Seahawks, he would still be sitting out the first 3 games and would have to deal with a major downgrade at QB.
