Rex Ryan second-guessed himself Thursday for releasing Danny Woodhead.
"Do I regret cutting him? Yeah, absolutely, right now I do," the New York Jets' coach said.
Woodhead, the pint-sized running back, has carved a niche for himself on the New England Patriots, recently signing a modest two-year contract extension. The Jets dumped him, ostensibly, to keep rookie RB Joe McKnight on the roster. That move was criticized because McKnight was a bust in the preseason, but he's a fourth-round pick and the Jets weren't going to cut a draft pick.
