Redskins TE Vernon Davis returns to game after eye injury

Vernon Davis (eye) has been cleared to return to Sunday's game versus the Cowboys, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

Fantasy Impact:

Davis was playing for Reed who was out with a concussion. It's good new Davis was able to return with no timetable for Reed who remains in protocol. Sprinkle would be next up should Reed and Davis both be out.

Rams RB Todd Gurley (quad) will not play Sunday against the 49ers.

Fantasy Impact:

Gurley missed practice all week with a thigh contusion. Malcolm Brown now shoots into the starting role and should see a vast majority of the work against the 49ers. Darrell Henderson May be sprinkled in from time to time but it’ll be Brown’s show. Fire him up as a RB2/Flex.

Davante Adams ruled out for Monday

The Packers officially ruled out Davante Adams (toe) for Monday night against the Lions.

Fantasy Impact:

Adams is still dealing with the toe injury that also cost him Week 5, missing practice all week. There is hope Adams will be back for Week 7. But for now, Geronimo Allison, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Jake Kumerow will roll as the top three receivers for the Packers.

Jordan Reed placed on Injured Reserve

The Redskins are placing TE Jordan Reed (concussion) on injured reserve.

Fantasy Impact:

Reed has been dealing with this latest concussion for a number of weeks now and the Redskins seemed to feel the issue is not getting any better anytime soon. Reed will now be out for at least eight weeks. If he hasn't already, he can safely be dropped in fantasy leagues. Jeremy Sprinkle will continue to roll as the top tight end in Washington, as Vernon Davis is also still dealing with a concussion and was also ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
