Redskins Beat: Team not ready to turn to QB Dwayne Haskins

Even after Case Keenum threw for 77 whole yards against the 49ers Sunday, Washington interim coach Bill Callahan made it clear he wasn’t ready to go to his first round pick, Dwayne Haskins, as his team sunk in the mud to 1-6.

“We still have a lot of faith in Case and his ability,” Callahan said, via Ryan Homler of NBCSportsWashington.com.

Fantasy Impact:

As the story said, maybe the team doesn't want to start him now heading into the Vikings game on a short week (Thursday night). It's possible the team uses the extra time to get Haskins ready for Week 9. The Redskins also have a bye in Week 10.
