A league source tells Pro Football Talk that veteran running back Julius Jones will be staying in Seattle. Per the source, Jones was never actually cut.
Instead, he restructured his contract in order to avoid being released.
And so the Seahawks will continue with a depth chart that currently shows Jones as the starter, Justin Forsett as the second-stringer, and Leon Washington third.
Just when we thought Julius had used up his ninth life, he's back again and ready to provide the Seahawks with another season of ordinary play. Justin Forsett and Leon Washington had moved up in our rankings when it was reported Jones was cut and are still the best Seattle backs to have, but Jones will probably take some carries away from both of them.
